@udiscbanor
@grapedog
Golf course, along with ball golf and football golf. Expensive to play, but worth it to try it out at least once. Tons of bomber shots. Good shot variety and layout. Signage was decent, udisc tracks correctly. Gorgeous scenery and nice amenities with bathrooms and a spot to grab some food/drinks and sit and enjoy the day. Can be windy, only a few small water hazards/brooks. Shanking your shots can lead to some searching, but the course is very open. Had a lot of fun, lot of walking, would recommend to play at least once, but the price makes it prohibitive to play often.
@etidie
Good course. Property has a lot of potential, but can’t do much else due to intermixing of other ball-golf and foot-golf courses. While I’m usually a fan of pay-to-play courses due to what they offer, £18/round here is simply too high, where that price point compares it to other top-tier courses in the WORLD, which this is not. If asking this much, players are going to want actual tee-pads, signage, benches, and other amenities.
@mcgoo77
The course has potential, it could use a bit of tweaking to make it feel more like a disc golf course, and less just a disc golf on a ball course. The biggest draw back is price. It costs more to play here than the best courses in the world. It's a nice course, but it isn't a world best course. Ball golf courses are expensive to maintain, but disc golf doesn't require as much maintenance. To charge £18 I think it will be hard to get a good local following. If the money went to making the disc golf course better it might be different. Its obvious the budget goes to the ball golf though and the disc golf is an afterthought.
@discgolfgirluk
The course is beautiful 🤩 £20 a round compared to other 18 hole courses which sit around £5 (Mansfield) - £8.50 (Quarry Park) is high! Yes you can get food and drink, but £20 is steep.
@leztravelvegan
Played a tournament layout. Well maintained course. If you find my fission Crave on hole 16 I'd be grateful to have it back 🙏
@domwestwell
Great course to play, although very much a golf course, so expect full power drives on every hole, and playing with ball and foot golfers. Some very challenging holes, especially on the back 9, but evened out by some beautiful views. Takes a long time to get round too, so you get your money’s worth of disc golf! £20 a round, wait for a sunny summers day, make a day of it, go have a chippy by the beach and watch the sunset afterwards!
@joshcatch
Long, bomber course, beautiful views and setting, really nice. Not too much variety but what it does it does really well. Overpriced, however, at 18 pounds; not terrible for a one off day out, but it certainly disincentivises repeat trips at that price point.
@ellisj98
Good course with a lot of distance, definitely geared more towards intermediate/advanced players. The main downside is the price of £18 for 18 holes, if it was reduced I would be there a lot more frequently.
@tonyhomemcr
Although a traditional golf course, baskets are installed in great locations making opportunities for different shop shapes, including a couple in wooded areas. Elevation is a key part of the course. Tee pads are raised grass areas that are maintained and dedicated as disc golf tees. Though two or three are shared with the traditional golfers which have made them muddy in parts. Beautiful scenery and a club house make for a perfect day out.
@mattplace
Fun to play and a healthy trek. The elevation changes provide the main feature of the design. The course is long, open and exposed. Lots of air space to take advantage of. A few spots around the course will reward you with great views towards the coast. Finally, there’s a bar with food, beer and toilets. The price unfortunately will definitely limit how many people make the drive out here. Is it the most expensive course in the country?
@pepebutter
Really enjoyed this bomber course. Gorgeous views, fun lines. I liked the back half more than the front. I felt like some of the wooded areas could be utilized more.
@riggers
Great course with incredible views. Open layout that is rather challenging. Definitely a must play course.
@robertoban
Awesome course in a very beautiful setting. Really fun to play on a golf course and makes great use of elevation changes. Only lacking some slightly clearer markings on the teepads.
@harrymessenger
Absolutely stunning property with very good disc golf course overlaying 18 holes of traditional golf. A good variety of shots are tested, the front 9 is more forgiving and the back 9 has some real tests. I felt very lucky to be able to play at Silver Birch
@pughsli
Well kept, promising course with some amazing holes and enjoyable throughout. Mostly raised turf tees shared with the golf, which were in good condition on a sunny day. However, there are currently no clear teepad boundaries and some small quality of life improvements like next tee indicators on the baskets and some additional signage here and there would be great. It's a pricy round at £18, but with some permanent teepads in place and further refinement this could be a real destination course.
