This course is actually really sick. Its not gonna be your typical groomed easy course but its a really fun once you get the hang of it. Easily one of the hardest I've played but still really fun. You do have to search for discs for a bit but I think its all part of the obstacle. This place is always accepting volunteers as its only maintained by a couple people.
@nebuchadnezzar
I had to play this course a few times to really appreciate it. Bring your hiking boots because the terrain is rough. The back 8 don't have signs yet and the baskets were very hard for me to find the first time. Hole 10 is a highlight hole with fantastic views. It's a good mix of long drives and more technical holes. All around the views are gorgeous and the layout is pretty fun just be prepared to hike.
@ericsherman11
Just not a real playable course. Super rough, basically boulder hopping the entire time. Many of the baskets are blind, which doesn’t help in the high grass and boulders, and poor signage and layout. It’s just not fun to play.
@imbibmike
No tee pads at any holes, no signs on the back 9 except for 10. Very rocky, foxtails and weeds everywhere. Don’t need to play this course again.
@apetrauski
Exactly the kind of course we were hoping for on our road trip. Lots of elevation change and full rips. Had to throw some extra discs on hole 10!
@cmorgan124
This is definitely a High Sierra course. It is more like hiking than playing, but I love that about it. Yes your pristine 30 dollar discs should not come if you are worried about them, but after playing this course a few times now, I can say it is very rewarding afterwards. It takes me about 2 hours solo to play all 18, closer to 3 with a group. The tee signs are still a work in progress, with only holes 1-10 having them. Tee pad 10 is the nicest of them all with a small table and turf grass tee pad. It has an incredible view atop a rocky knoll, and is the longest hole at 1,000ft. The rest of the tee pads are gravel with rock outlines, with 11-18 having green pole markers to help guide you to the tee pad. Some of the baskets are not in the same location that UDisc has them marked, but with a changable course I can understand a few being off. The scenery is incredible with a variety of Desert sage, pine, and juniper trees. 360° views of snow capped mountains in the late spring and early summer. Alll while looking over the small town of Susanville. I will gladly rate 5 stars once the rest of the tee signs are in place, basket locations are updated, and some tee pads spruced up. I would also be interested in volunteering to help with this course.
@renotahoedg
Obviously this is still a work in progress so ratings will improve as more work is completed. 18 baskets are in and there are signs on holes 1-10. One box has a turf pad, otherwise, they are currently dirt. Great variety of shots, lots of elevation change, and a good mix of par 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s. My only real complaint (and I’m sure it will be addressed once the course is complete) is the lack of any indication of what pin placement the basket is at.
@esakimoto
Fantastic layout and shot variety, however still a WIP. Will be a fantastic course when complete, and is still very fun right now so long as you don’t mind a bit of an adventure
@wesmarson
Nice baskets, but this course is horrible to play. No real directional cues for the layout, number plates on the baskets are not facing the correct direction, most teepads are just gravel, must physically walk the fairway to search for the baskets on almost every hole. I played with a group of 2, spotted for eachother on each hole, but still had to search for our discs through the brush and rocks. Never coming back to this course. Difficult to tell where to throw, even harder to enjoy it.
@kotyramirez
Wear hiking boots
@treedweller
Need updated map for basket placement. Discs get beat up really bad on all the rock.
@treehitter999
Massive
@kurtlemon
Course itself is fine but the teepads and signage could use some work
@bevindrives
You have to pay extreme attention to your discs or you’ll lose them, course needs a little help. Still no concrete pads and 2 of the chain baskets are missing
@lilmegs
Definitely looking forward playing again once the course is completed!
@gabeybabey
First hole is behind a tree to the left of tee box (Was a hard one to find). Be careful on the second hole. Discs can disappear into another dimension down the hill if you do not watch them carefully. The course is currently muddy but fun if you persevere through the interdimensional portals and rocky terrain.
@wreakinghaddock
Giant pile of boulders. Pins are hard to see. No trails. Under construction. Challenging course.
@robbiewalton
It’s kind of high altitude, and there’s a lot of hiking, so keep in mind. The baskets are awesome and new! Lots of rocks you have to walk over when you throw your discs. Possible snakes in summer so beware. Porta potties nearby and a trash can. Make sure you have a “spotter” when you throw, hard to find
@codycavender
Will be a great course once everything gets completed.
