Slippery rock is definitely not what is was for 2015 worlds. The property is still gorgeous but the course is lacking a bit. I guess they had to drain the ponds due to insurance reasons and what was a beautiful tee shot on hole is now just another overgrown area to throw over. The gold tees were so pristine with limestone right up to the rubber mats and now the base is even starting to fold up. It's amazing what 10 years can do. Again the university property is still gorgeous just a shame the course has to take a hit from neglect.

@mkertland
Some great design for a mostly open field style course. Windy day just added to the challenge. Very fun.
@clmills24
Walks between holes are exhausting. Other than that, it was a fun round.
@cuteprune
*white tees* great course with challenging and fun shots. Watch the marshy parts and prep for wet foot
@matthewcdicus
Only gold have actual tee box. Green and white have a spray painted teebox and just not super exciting.
@hammer22
Lots of long walks like 4 to 5 and 6 to 7. The best holes are 7-17 behind the football stadium. So long. A solo round took 2 hours.
@davidschauers
Would love to see concrete tee pads at all tee areas.

I am a student at Slippery Rock University. This course has so much potential, however, the lack of teepads for the whites makes this course hard to enjoy. There is so much mud everywhere and seems to have little upkeep. I would also like to see some changes the the par 3s. They are not very exciting and are way too easy.

Construction making holes 4 and 14 unplayable

I graduated from this school 20 years ago and do love that I can come play a quality course here on my alma mater. That said, my opinion of this course has declined in recent years. Let me start with what is great about this course. The championship round of the 2015 Worlds played here and the course earned that. The first time I played this course I was wowed by how much it felt like a real tour course. Where so many of our courses are Lazer lines in the woods, this had big dramatic shots and holes that required multiple placements. It just felt like professional and that made it fun. In the last few years though, it's a mess. That's on the university but still holds true. There has been continual construction to the point that you're never sure if there are 18 playable holes when you show up. At times, it's been an absolute mud pit. Temporary construction I understand but it's been two years. Every pond that use to make this hole something beautiful is gone as well. It's lost a good bit of it's natural beauty. It's still a fun course and the Gold tees are no joke, but don't come expecting 2015 Worlds anymore

Basket for 14 is not in location.
@gtalk256
Gold tees are a blast. Some of the most beautiful landscaping around, as far as disc golf goes. Construction has eliminated hole 1 and has made hole 2 very tricky.
@esseblanco
Professional tier course from the golds. Managed to land next to both of the geese nests, donβt recommend that, the males sure got upset. Couple of opportunities to get your discs wet and long adventurous par 4s and 5s up and down hills.
