About the course
Course redesigned in 2020 to utilize 9 fairways with 2 baskets and/or pad each for an 18 hole, par 57 layout. The front 9 to yellow and the back 9 to orange baskets. UDisc layout: Main - 9 Short + 9 Long Holes are numbered 1-18. There are no "pro" pads. Holes either share a pad or have their own but only 1 per hole. Holes may have multiple baskets but non are shared. Please do not renumber udisc hole names as 1-18 matches new layout and signage.

Proving unequivocally and without hesitation, the only good thing to come out of Alabama is Matty-O. First and foremost, do not be fooled. This is NOT an 18-hole course. This is a nine-hole course with two basket placements per tee pad. The “back” nine is virtually the same as the “front,” except with a bit more length. I know, I know, what did you expect from an open course at the edge of a sports complex. My first clue that the day was going to be less than ideal came on the first hole when I pulled my tee shot to the right side landing adjacent the drainage ditch. As I approached my disc, I couldn’t help but notice the 34-foot anaconda nestled comfortably right next to the disc. (Upon further consideration, it could’ve been a 3-4 foot black snake.) There’s not much shot shaping here, nor is there any change in elevation. To be fair, some of the basket placements (my iPhone autocorrected that to “placentas” - how fun is that!!) are somewhat scenic, overlooking a creek that runs along the boundary of the course. The highlight of the day: The unleashed pit bull mix that considered me a potential snack. After running 10-15 yards and immediately realizing I am fat and old, I changed tactics and began dropping pieces of Hot Boom Sauce Double G Jerky. It slowed the doggie’s roll enough for me to make my getaway. I’d like to thank Garrett Gurthie for saving my life. Finally, if you know Kenny, he hates trees, so he’d love this open course.

Pretty good little course. Not an easy one by any means but an eagle opportunity on a couple for big arms.

Great course. Well maintained. Lots of fire ant nests to land in though.
