Park style. Got repetitive but very fun! Not a punishing course but takes skill to get birdies.

Fun red level course. Mostly wide open shots. Softball/Soccer complex with a very active walking path, so lots of distractions.

Super nice complex. Good variety of shots forehand and backhand. Only negative is some holes unplayable (4/5) when baseball/softball ongoing.

Windy made the open holes over the field challenging. There are fields, housing, and roads to avoid. Not bad for a park course.

The course is dangerous for other park goers. I’m amazed the course is still installed after all these years. Course upkeep is the only A+ feature this course has. The park is extremely manicured, there is a consistent and regular mowing schedule. Trash is collected daily. Overall, the course is extremely clean, and is kept up well. Shot variety and shot design is extremely lacking. The shots are either backhand hyzer, or forehand hyzer. The only exception is hole 2, which is a hyzer flip play. Otherwise, put your disc on a hyzer angle, forehand or backhand, and let it rip. Hole design is also extremely poor, there are tons of holes where the teepad is marked onto the pavement, which looks cheap and frustrates both disc golfers and pedestrians. There are multiple holes perched perilously close to the road, an errant shot will have your disc go into the road. That’s dangerous. The worst sin is that most of the course plays along a walking path, which is exceptionally dangerous. Holes 13 and 14 are the worst offenders. You are blind to who is on the walkway. Again, you can not see if a person is coming down the walkway before you throw. That’s shameful course design. The tee pads exist, but are inconsistent. Some are concrete, some are marked onto the walking path, some are just gravel. I highly dislike walkway teepads for safety reasons. I highly dislike having so many different styles of teepads. Again, this just looks cheap. Signage is there, and actually offers lots of information! However, there is no directional signage that I remember. You would be hard pressed to play this course without UDisc, and I believe it is impossible to play the course without UDisc because there is no directional signage to lead you across the bridge to the back half of the course. The amenities are lacking, there are bathrooms but they are very out of the way and are also closed from November-March. There are water fountains, but they don’t work. There are trash cans, but none next to the tee pads. The scenery is below average. You are never in a forest, the course is wide open. Your views are parking lots, apartments, houses, a track, baseball fields and soccer fields. Not a very pretty backdrop. Overall, this course is a 2/5, and I think I’m being somewhat generous with that rating. It is not a pretty course, with repetitive uninteresting shots, with inconsistent tee pads, and severe safety issues for park pedestrians. If you are a course collector, or this is your home course, then sure, play it! I would not go out of my way to play here though. The ratings suggest this course is as good or better than Johnson Street, Garden Grove, and Wellspring. Play any of those three, and then really think if Springwood deserves its current 4.1 rating. My answer is absolutely not.

Cool park style course. Some repetitive holes, but the use of tree lines and hill sides makes it fun. Worth a visit.

I bit repetitive and pretty sketchy as far as proximity to high traffic sidewalks. A few fairways run directly along sidewalks with blind corners just past the baskets, making tee shots a bit perilous.

Front 9 is great. Back 9 has many shots that’s cross over pathways and are throwing around blind corners.

Terribly designed, just begging for a pedestrian to get hit. Holes 11-17 should just be scrapped altogether due to walking path running down middle of most of it. Hole 2 is backwards.

Lots of work has been done to improve this course. Challenging long layout and fun short layout!
