Moderately hilly Heavily wooded Requires an array of shots to score well. Squirrel Lake is a pretty 12 hole course in the middle of Matthews, NC that puts a premium on shot placement.

Pretty fun overall! Definitely not a course for beginners. Super tight fairways on many holes that require precise tee shots, often flipping something up through the gap. Older baskets, but I didn't mind them. Tee pads could use work.

Hidden Gem. Advanced layout. Not beginner friendly. Great track. Although it’s only 12 holes, it is well worth the trip. These lines will challenge any player.
