@rcolsden1015
Course was super fun, hole 2’s tee pad was a little confusing but we found it.
@wolfemike
Missed a few tee boxes due to lack of good signage. It's easy to mistake hole 9 for hole 6. Other than that, follow the trails.
@gagebenson
Hole 2 is now a temporary hole. Other then that a beautiful course
@sasquatch910
Heavily wooded, technical, and somewhat short front 9 leads to a long, mostly open back 9 (or back 11 if you include the solid 14b and c). Seems like holes 1 and 2 have been roped off since the fall, which is unfortunate, it would be nice if the back 9 had stakes or rope to create some interesting OB and challenge on the open holes, and I wish 14b and c had real teepads/signs, but ultimately a really great course that's right off the highway. Props to the team keeping the fairways well maintained even during peak summer when many courses are overgrown!
@mattfofatt01
Playing at the end of July I was fully expecting a fairly overgrown course however this place is immaculate. Huge props to all that put in work here!
@timrbass
Short front 9, long back 9. This place is beautiful. Just wish I didn’t have 25 flies swarming around my head the whole time
@hyoomac
Features a wide range of challenges for experienced players: technical wooded holes, elevation changes, doglegs, some bombers, a bracing water carry, island holes. For a single basket and (mostly) single tee layout, Stonykill packs a lot of punch. Not cart-friendly. There’s steep elevation, creek crossings, and lots of roots and rocks in the fairways. A cart is really more trouble than it’s worth here. Detailed review at dgcoursereview.com
@kylemcgee
Great course - worth a detour for even though holes 1 and 2 are temporarily closed.
@ihaveanoseynose
Such an awesome course. Good tees, good maps, good baskets, really well design holes. Very similar to stafford in NJ. Would strongly recommend it.
@discgolfphoenix
This course is a dream. Beautiful scenery with serenity and tranquility. Much wildlife visits through the course as evidence of the snow tracks. The water source is key. And the frozen brook is out of an art book. Loved the lines of each hole.
@stvnrsnlt
Great course. Front 9 wooded. Back 9 most open. Very nice. Would Def come back. As of 11/19/23. Holes 1 and 2 are replaced by 2 temp holes between 14 and 15. Didn't even bother us.
@dlavs19
Fantastic course with lots of variety, tees could use some love. Definitely a must play in NY!
@wigglebeewoo
Amazing and beautiful course. Really fun and lots of diverse shots
@smithja7
Beautiful course in the NY woods. Lots of variety, short holes with tight lines and long bomb open holes. Must play if in the area
@chrispreperato
A beautiful mix of open and wooded holes in a serene park. Some water comes into play late.
@jkee1400
One of the coolest courses I've ever played
@beejmc
Awesome community park course which seems dedicated to disc golf. Front nine woods back 9 open. Lots of fun throws here. Decent challenge. Beautiful wildflower meadows on the open holes. Technical elevation on the wooded holes. It’s a treat to play and I go out of my way to stop thru and play it. Worth it for travelers and a total gem for locals.
@tonytucox
Stonykill is a fantastic course for intermediate players. Front 9 has lots of tight, technical wooded shots, back 11 has an even split between woods shots and open holes, with a fun water carry on 17. The signage has been updated and is very high quality with reasonable tee maps. Recently had several very nice benches put in. Course is very well maintained and the main 20 hole layout is delightful. Couldn’t recommend this course enough.
@searle
Needs steps built on several holes due to steep elevation changes. Very nice course. Tight first two holes starts the round out right. Needs some type of fairway on 18, however.
