"Needs better signs and teepads but could be a fun course with better maintenance"
Jan 27, 2023
"I played this course for the first time today ... I had high hopes going in from the pictures on Udisc but I was expecting a typical park district course .... Wrong! This is a shorter and smaller course but the technical lines you have to hit through what feels like hundreds of trees are extremely tight and rewarding if you get it right. Very small fairways and unique shots through tiny gaps. Definitely favors the backhand throw... overall cool course to check out but bring your accuracy. "

"Making awesome strides on this course so the future is bright. It is the only real tight woods course near by. "
Nov 13, 2022
"Overall the course looks very good after all of the cleanup work by Park’d in Parks. However, the leaves are very thick and you can spend tons of time looking for discs in the middle of the fairway."
Oct 29, 2022
"Weird course through a forest "
Oct 21, 2022
"Tight but rewarding when you hit the lines "
Oct 20, 2022
"Super tight, pretty technical. But cool if you’re in the area. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to play"
Oct 1, 2022
"Great course. Most technical in the area. Tight! Need Udisc to find your way. Hit your line or die"
Sep 26, 2022
"If you’re in the area I’d check it out but it’s not worth it"
Sep 19, 2022
"This poor course need some serious tlc. Mostly wooded technical holes. Still pretty muddy on about half the course . I couldn't imagine playing this course when the rough is grown out. Pars are forgiving enough. Could be cool but the parks dept would have to put some major time and money into it."
Sep 18, 2022
"Really well designed and challenging lines aside. Lots of cobwebs and mosquitoes so bug spray is a must. Easy to navigate although some tee pad locations have not been updated by UDisc in a while."
Sep 16, 2022
"Just played on Thursday, 9.15.22 @ 3:15pm-5pm. No mosquitoes whatsoever and I’m a mosquito magnet. Didn’t see another golfer.
The course Is highly technical but in the best way. Every hole requires very specific technique and disc choice. You will need to be able to throw putters well and have three styles. I used a Zone, Aviar3, and a Roach. Using discs faster than that will only frustrate. Most holes are 200ft and tigheeeet! Wonderfully thought out demanding lines!!! Highly rewarding birdies."
Sep 13, 2022
"Still needs some maintenance but over all it’s alright "
Sep 12, 2022
"Insane how many spider webs there were. Even across some of the larger fairways. Course was okay, but it’s hard to enjoy it when you’re pulling cobwebs out of your hair the entire time."
Aug 21, 2022
"Technical course, lots and lots of spider webs and mosquitos, bring bug spray. Pretty obvious the course isn’t played often. Hard time finding with google
Aug 21, 2022
"Lots of spider webs "
Aug 7, 2022
"Fun but overly technical. It would be more fun to play if they strategically cleared some trees in most fairways. Kudos to the people that cleaned up the course - it's in the best shape in at least 10 years."
Aug 3, 2022
"Rating it high because you can tell this course is definitely improving. New tee pads will be a game changer. Lots of tight throws, but the trees are little enough that it’s pretty easy to find those errant discs. Excited for the future of this course! "
Jul 24, 2022
"Super fun course but if you’re not wearing bug spray or boots, it really sucks. Mosquitoes are everywhere. Tee pads aren’t the best. Most of them had huge puddles so hopefully you don’t mind your shoes getting a lot wet after it rains. Most of the baskets are not long but placed in random spots which makes it more difficult. The par’s for this course is fair! "
Jul 16, 2022
"Tough course. Good stuff though, especially considering proximity to the city."
Jun 26, 2022
"Okay, it’s a tunnel course "
Jun 23, 2022
"This course is so much fun. Major improvements. Yes, the tee pads need replacing and signage could be better, but the holes themselves are super fun and challenging and FAIR now that the brush is trimmed"
Jun 3, 2022
"I recently played it after hearing about updates to the course. It was a very unique course! I hope to see future improvements like teepads"
Jun 3, 2022
"Big difference out there from 2-3 years ago when I last played. Thank you to whoever is out there clearing fairways! The teepads are a limiting factor here, with concrete pads this course will be back in my regular rotation. "
Jun 3, 2022
"This course has so much potential in a great accessible location, but it still needs a little love. The recent cleanup was a huge step in the right direction. New tee pads would make this a regular stop in my rotation. Maintenance will have to keep up the cleaning that was done and some holes could probably use a touch more. It would be nice if every hole was not a dog leg left. "
Jun 3, 2022
"Great progress! Still a little rough. Tee pads were super slick and need to be destroyed. They were dangerously slick and it didn't even rain that day."
Jun 3, 2022
"An amazing renovation if this course has happened. Used to be totally overgrown but it's now lovely to play thanks to the Park'd crew and the city parks department."
Jun 3, 2022
"This is a course with such potential... with some cement teepads would be a great start. Always has had drainage issues and forest over growth.. with lots of TLC it would be played by so many more..."
Jun 3, 2022
"The recent improvements have made the course playable again! I’ve noticed more foot traffic lately. One thing that can help take this park to the next level would be cement pads. The pads don’t receive much sunlight so the rubber is always wet and slick (falling hazard). Thank you to the Park District and all the volunteers! "
Jun 2, 2022
"Go to your nearest woods, close your eyes, spin around 5 times, tee off, open your eyes when you hear your disc hit something. Go find it. That is honestly what it is like playing this course. You never know where the basket is and when you finish the hole it is a guess as to where the next tee pad is. Holes 7 and 8 are unplayable as soon as the brush and leaves grow. This course likely had promise in the initial design, but all the holes need to be about 4 feet wider and marked more clearly."
May 28, 2022
"Amazing clean up by Park'd for Parks. Wood chips, bordered areas and concrete tee pads to come. Come out and play it. What an update! "
Apr 12, 2022
"Really tight short holes. If you like hitting trees, this is your course"
Jan 13, 2022
"Great, short course! Very tight lines on some holes but a nice challenge for players of all abilities. "
Dec 12, 2021
"The basket for 8 is not missing, it’s a right hand back hand spike hyzer 210’"
Nov 28, 2021
"Tons of potential, but needs some TLC. It’s a stressful round as is. "
Nov 27, 2021
"Thin the buckthorn. Improve tee pads. Improve directions and signage."
Oct 22, 2021
"Take your time"
Oct 17, 2021
"Over all: unforgiving technical course great for training and improving your short game. Not for the faint of heart.
Very technical course with good variety of different obstacles.
Very low traffic on a Sunday afternoon, so I was able to redo a few holes for practice.
Some of the tees were too slippery to drive off of (particularly hole 15)
Incorrect GPS pins and lack of "Next Tee" markers can make navigation difficult; tracking full stats is ineffective."
Oct 9, 2021
"This course is terribly maintained and filled with pests. I walked out before finishing the course. This was a disappointment. "
Aug 29, 2021
"One of my favorites courses when I want to improve. Short, but punishingly tight fairways, though overgrown. A bit difficult to navigate and teepads are in pretty bad shape. Even though it's so poorly maintained and the holes are short, the difficulty level makes it one of my favorite in the Chicago area."
Aug 11, 2021
"Lots of rough and the fairways bend in ways that don't work for disc golf. More like narrow walking paths with baskets tucked into the woods. But hey it's Chicago. We only have 2 courses....for now...."
Jul 30, 2021
"Poorly maintained, at this point bring bug spray even in the winter cause the insects are everywhere!"
Jul 27, 2021
"This course is awesome! Lots of shots required"
Jul 14, 2021
"I'd rate higher, but the course needs a lot of maintenance. Trees down all over the course! "
Jul 3, 2021
"No joke about it being tightly wooded! Good technical course if you’re up for it, but be prepared to be playing out of the brush quite a bit!"
Jun 23, 2021
"Pain in the butt. I played well very hard course. It’s over grown and need help. If you walk ahead before you start a hole it helps a lot."
Jun 14, 2021
"Course is really tight in the woods just not fun to play in general and it isn't well kept not coming back for sure"
Jun 4, 2021
"All dried up, but could see this getting swampy during a rain session!
May 21, 2021
"UDiscs layout does not match the course for some holes, the course is in pretty rough shape, it's a really hard course easily the hardest I played, came here on a Friday evening I was the only one out here for disc golf, it sits next to a swamp so really bring a lot of bug spray, definitely an advanced level course"
May 9, 2021
"This course was overall very enjoyable to play. It's really rough around the edges, but the shots are harder than almost any course I've been to. The rough isn't too thick to lose discs, but it's really punishing to throw into. Needs lots of love, but it has so much potential. "
May 2, 2021
"This course has so much potential! With a little maintenance, it could be a great one. This course was great for practicing tight tunnel shots. My only complaints were that it was quite difficult to navigate through and holes seven through 10 you had to throw blindly down a path with no basket insight. Thank God for UDisc "
May 2, 2021
"Good right course to practice your distance and lines. Middle of the course - 7-10 is not great but the rest is somewhat enjoyable "
Apr 29, 2021
"Do you want to play a course where you need UDisc to figure out where the next tee or basket is? Do you want to throw a midrange or putter 80-120 feet off the tee since there is no path to the basket?
When this course was first built, it was a decent, tight course but has overgrown to the point where many holes are unplayable the way they were designed to be played."
Apr 27, 2021
"Super challenging technique driven course. "
Apr 24, 2021
"Frustrating tight tunnels but a great challenge compared to the open courses in the area. This course is guaranteed to put you out of your comfort zone."
Apr 18, 2021
"This course gets a bad rap. It’s incredibly challenging and removing some trees could actually create some possible lines where there are none. But it’s a good course to get work on putter placement, mid range and skip shots"
Apr 10, 2021
"These 18 holes course are fun but way too many trees and it is so hard. We had to take a look at the map on Udisc if not we could get lost."
Apr 6, 2021
"All but one fairway curves left - if you’re a lefty, and don’t have a solid forehand (me) it’s very challenging. Par is somewhat generous, but you’d need insane accuracy to birdie every hole. Most of the course smells funky from nearby factories, bunch of litter around, thick brush everywhere so I wouldn’t make this a destination unless you’ve exhausted all other options."
Apr 3, 2021
"Fun, but very woody. Expect no clear shots."
Jan 21, 2021
"this course is a bit underrated. ~75% of the course consists of short distance lines with tight, wooded fairways. it can feel tough at times, but there’s always a line even if its small. brush isn’t too bad either in the winter. tee pads are slightly slippery but manageable. overall offers some challenging but rewarding technical practice. "
Dec 20, 2020
"This course is so hard"
Nov 29, 2020
"Real tough challenging course"
Oct 31, 2020
"Personally found the course fun with great deal of difficulty. Only thing I found to be pretty poor was the tee pads, rubber tee pads that are pretty muddy. Also, needs better directions to next hole but was able to use UDisc so didn’t have trouble. Definitely recommend using UDisc for directions at this place. If you don’t like tight gaps and technical shots you won’t like this course, but personally think it is a great way to really improve your game. "
Oct 24, 2020
"Yes there are a ton of trees and yes if you're a beginner, you're not going to par this at all. But it was nice working on my technical game, so I'm definitely marking this as a favorite."
Oct 20, 2020
"I just came from here...it is SO unwelcoming...NO GOOD LINES trees EVERYTHERE and slippery rubbertee pads"
Oct 20, 2020
"Pretty much all woods and trees with a narrow path... Not much room to rip it... Easy to get lost but a guy in front of me was writing arrows towards the next pin so that helps... The course deffinitly has potential"
Oct 11, 2020
"Should not even be a course. It’s all trail and trees. Community is scary. Beware the hobo on hole 13"
Oct 2, 2020
"Living in the city I think this is the closest 18 hole course to me. Definitely has potential if it was cared for again. I'd be willing to volunteer to help if anyone else is interested in bringing this course back to life (text me 912-401-3914)"
Aug 19, 2020
"Would be a nice course if they kept up with it. Lots of trees with some open fairway on some holes"
Jun 29, 2020
"Course is not maintained but still very playable. Very tight fairways. Would be an awesome course if it was maintained."
Jun 21, 2020
"Hole 8 missing basket overall fun course "
May 20, 2020
"Not maintained at all, course has potential though"
Jul 18, 2019
"Teepads pooled up with water, not sure if i used one of them. Fairways need a lot of tlc. Used to love this course for its tight lines but it is overgrown and almost unplayable."
Oct 13, 2018
"Lacking signage for next hole direction, tee pads are often slippery and muddy. Besides that, a very challenging course with tight technical lines. There are a few shots where the fairway is not so fair. Not bad if you want to practices tight lines. "
Aug 22, 2018
"Wow, Shea a tight one. Great course to practice with your putter drives and laser straight middys."
Jul 6, 2018
"This is, by far, the worst course I have ever played. It looks like a course that was put up 10 years ago and was completely forgotten about. Do not play this course if you want to leave with all of your discs. Do not play this course if you like to play actual disc golf. Do not play this course if you’re allergic to any type of plant. Do not play this course. The majority of your round will be spent looking for discs in heavily wooded, far from well kept fairways."
