@tonyengen
The hole design on 11-15 is awful, most of the other holes are also not great. This course needs a redesign and teepads badly. I even reached out to the city at one point to ask them if they would be interested in partnering together to do a GoFundMe to raise money for teepads, never heard anything back. Obviously the city does not care at all about this course. It has the potential to be a very good course if some thought and care was put into it. The land is beautiful, the course is terrible. Probably the most poorly designed course I have ever played.
@gloper13
This primarily open links style course features dirt tee pads with good tee signage and Prodigy baskets. Well mown fairways take advantage of elevation changes on the course and bring in punishing rough and water on multiple holes. Many holes can be birdied with moderate length. The open nature of this course makes it particularly challenging in the wind. Would score higher with tee pads. Well worth playing.
@jjsharkman
The course is a ton of fun for a right hand back hand thrower! A lefty or a forehand player probably wouldn't like it as much. The dirt tee pads aren't bad, but if I had one major criticism it would be those.
@animalbite
This course was designed by a man who hates people being able to find their discs. Will not be back
@noblejennette
Just what all disc golfers love: blind shots around corners where the rough is so thick you could hide a car in it. There isn’t one hole where a full circle’s width of grass is mowed around the basket. That’s not how you make a course challenging, that is just LAZY COURSE DESIGN AND UPKEEP. Fairways are also lazily mowed and about 20 feet wide. Easily the worst course in the greater Minneapolis-St Paul region. I have played all around the country, recorded 200 rounds and I would rate the course I just played as the worst. Re-seed with wildflowers, mow A LOT MORE, and remove the trash trees.
@sharkdizzogg
First time playing here and I will definitely be back. Interesting layout and great scenery. Fairways are mowed and rough is thick/punishing. Concrete tee pads would’ve been nice but dirt was fine. Signage was nonexistent aside from posts with numbers at the tee boxes. UDisc provided a lot of help in terms of navigation. Wasn’t a fan of hole 12 as there’s really no obvious line through the trees. Spotter was very helpful, especially on 12. This is a great piece of land for disc golf. 2024 Update: Signage has been added to tee boxes making navigation easier. Fairways are as tight as ever.
@coltonfritz
This track has potential. Put in teepads and cut some trees on the holes that you can’t determine a reasonable line/shot shape. Beautiful property though!
@cjdirkes
Hole 12 could use an alternate basket in the opening before it cuts back but I don’t dislike the current placement once you know the hole (maybe different in summer). 14 and 15 could maybe use a new tee location or clearing of tree growth to open up throwing lanes.
@uhcselyk
Holes 12,13,14,15 need to be redesigned imo. Otherwise 1-11 and 16-18 are fun to play.
@airjomax21
Wide open prairies hole 2 has zero line unless you are Simon 13,14,15 have zero line unless you are Simon .
@jonnyt123
Updating my 0.5 star review from last year - I’m giving it an extra star because the only holes that actually suck are 12-16, they cleared out a few of the gaps on the other holes. 2024 review - Updating my 4 star review from last April: After playing another 50 courses since the last time I played this one, I can confidently say that course is bad. I have no idea what the course designer was thinking. Why on earth are we throwing blind shots on literally 2/3 of the holes? Why are we throwing over ridiculously thick rough on so many holes? I used to be frustrated about the lack of teepads. Honestly I’m glad they didn’t waste money on the concrete. The design is so bad, but hey, at least they just put in new signage this year! The most FRUSTRATING part is how much potential the course has. You have a beautiful lake and don’t have any water carry shots? Why not get rid of 13s idiotic RH backhand hyzer and make it a 250 RH forehand? It just doesn’t make sense. I just moved 8 minutes away and will honestly never return unless improvements and redesigning is done. This is THE WORST 18 hole course in the entire metro, and the worst of the 89 18-hole courses I’ve played. I actually think Theodore Wirth is better.
@jugdecook
Overgrown in the summer. Actually better to play in the late fall, winter, and very early spring.
@chuck15335
Could use some tree trimming. Tough to find any lines on several of the holes.
@cyroeser
Good that a throwing path was created making hole 14 playable but have fairways become obsolete. Nothing wrong with a challenging course but nobody enjoys searching for their disc in the long foliage on virtually every hole
@onechance
Really fun big fairways upkeep is nice just wish there were tee pads
@andrewlbrandt
12 is a bit of a scud shot and dicey as a single. Overall enjoyable! Update while narrow fairways have been mowed. The rough is either knee-high grass or chest high scrub and makes it incredibly difficult to find a disc.
@gwgeller
A lot of interesting shots. Elevation and water. Beautiful area. Dirt teepads. Some are pretty rough. Basic signage. Not many distances and udisc is off.
@bigglz
Since its been expended to 18 holes. This course is a hidden gem, even though it's still dirt tee pads. Looks like the city is finally keeping up with mowing fairways, ita strarting to come together well worth the stop. If you bring trash in remember to dispose of it when you leave. There are shots that makes you think outside the box hole 2😁 Short,medium, long, placement,tight, gaps, over water, open, elevation, and blind shots. Some rolling picturesque hills.
@jaboc83
Fun course when it's mowed. Good beginner course. Signage isn't great but Udisc nav will get you where you need to go. going into the swampy rough will make for a very unpleasant round.
