@prizmane
Nice property, there is definitely potential, but the roughs leave literally no room for scrambling and they also gobble up your discs while the bugs attack you. There are longer and better up kept courses that you can play for free, but if you really want to try bring bug spray and only throw one disc at a time.
@pfunk4
Needs signs on tee pads and next hole. Hard wooded course. Maybe cleaning up the natural canopy on the course would help with drives. Demanding course but great. Hardest course on the property.
@cs9320
If you're a woods golfer and like a challenge this is the spot. Takes around 4-5 good shots to get to the pin. Great elevation and variety. Bring your A game. My favorite course on the property. Only complaint is the way finding could be better. There's a few forks where you can easily throw down the wrong tunnel.
@slim47
Hard to find tee pads without disc's GPS, very muddy. Fun to play for experienced players
@jer0my
The most difficult course I have ever played. I would play this course everyday if I could.
@mnaggatz
Easily my favorite course on the property. Well maintained and challenging course through the woods. If you can throw straight shots and stay in the fairway you'll love this course. Lot of fairway and mid range tee shots to set up approaches. Only a few par 3's.
@jonnyt123
My favorite course of the property. Very long, wooded holes, but I’d say these are the most defined fairways of the bunch. Definitely looking forward to coming back here someday and playing it again.
@frankdog180
Hard af. If I could throw farther I'd have been happier. Would play again
@rpmetzler
Way too hard for my wife and I, but this is a pro-level distance wooded course. If you want a challenging round AND a challenging hike, take down The Bear and take in some amazing wooded views while you are at it.
@discallday
Favorite course I've ever played. Good shots get rewarded and bad shots get punished. Forces you to make a decision on every shot.
@swansendiscgolf
The Bear is an elite course. It's challenging and very fair. You can get a birdie on almost every hole with even a few eagle opportunities, but you can also take triple bogey on nearly every hole as well. This course is about managing your shots and controlling soft landings while navagating tight woods lines. You need to know when to layup and when to get aggressive. It really makes you play golf. An awesome course on a stunning property. It doesn't get much better than The Bear.
@ransick27
The Bear is a humbling experience that can lead to growth. Playing this course is a gauntlet of wise decision making, demanding accuracy, inevitable scrambling, and mental toughness. A rewarding challenge like none other.
@elued12
Life was different before I played the bear, Now I yearn for the beat down. This is a gem
@noahhayes1995
It is amazing and hard af
@schommstar
Hard. Trees. Layup and placement shots all day.
@thegoldenhand
Absolutely epic challenge. Wish I could give it 7 stars. It is hard and unforgiving but every hole is an adventure.
@johnsonklj3
It’s amazing how far this course has come. I played it back in 2016 under previous ownership and it was unplayable (fairways w/ foot high grass and impossible to navigate). Now, course is easy to follow and very cleaned up. Extremely difficult and technical-all wooded fairways, mostly par 4s and 5s with 3s sprinkled in. Took over 2hrs to play 9 w/ 2 ppl and we’re usually pretty quick. Do not recommend for beginners, it will beat any player down. Aptly named. Overall extremely impressed w/ highbr
