I had so much fun playing this one - I’m mad I didn’t get here sooner! I wish it was listed as a full course on UDisc because I almost missed it entirely. The A and B tees are so different from each other that this SHOULD be listed as a full 20 hole course. Even the shorter holes felt like 2 completely different holes from A to B. The shot variety is fantastic for a park course with 10 baskets. Long enough to challenge throwers with bigger arms but straightforward enough for intermediate players too. Yes, the course flow kind of sucks. Long walks in between holes, bad signage, etc. That’s why it can’t be a 5 star course. But that’s kind of what happens when you have a short and a long tee pad on every basket - walks will be longer if you’re only playing the shorts. I had a ton of fun out here and will definitely be back. Totally worth the drive from Columbus, plus there are other courses nearby if you want to make a day out of it.

As of late August 2023, my opinion is that this course is in the “Testing” phase (tees are marked but no solid indication locations are final). Reviewing it at this point is ridiculous. So this “review” is to encourage you to get out there and throw the course no matter your skill level, rating, or arm strength because to have played it in its infancy and watching it become a completed attraction is the closest thing to designing and installing it you can get when it comes to appreciation or pride in a local course. The holes have some distance… no other local course does, suck it up and count strokes not ace runs. If you have feedback or suggestions I’m sure the designers would at least listen or read them. They are the reason for these 4 stars, they’re not my best buds I have no reason to stand up for this project other than I firmly believe that they are two of better Disc golfers in the area and if their goal is to separate this project from the technical shorter distances of flory and the more longer distances and elevation changes of Riverview, they’re doing so knowing that they started right where you’re at thinking “that’s too far”.

The 20 hole layout is fun. Some big bombers that were way beyond me. Pretty good use of a large park. Only one or two that might qualify as wooded, but lots of pretty wide allies with trees and a number of wide open long holes. Wind was a factor. Don't know how often you'll get wind but my guess is often. Would play again. You'll get your steps in. 20 holes is 4 miles.
@vagabondheath
Updated review. Course is super fun. Some holes do play long, so being able to throw far is helpful, but that being said, it's not super punishing, because it is hard to really get off the fairway. You don't need 500 foot power to have a good time here. Make good placement shots and you can absolutely score.
@wesleyskiles
Great park course, new baskets, tee pads, and directional arrows but there are no tee signs. Also, holes 4 and 9 have 3 park benches within 40 feet of the basket, including one inside the circle and one directly between the tee and basket. Great use of elevation and a mix of open, open with trees, and one wooded hole. 4 to 5 stars if the add signs and fix the bench/basket proximity issue.
@rstover24
Too much distance between basket to next tee pad most holes have to walk 350+ feet to next tee pad, course is nice though
@brianphillips
Nice baskets and 2 tee pads per hole, however zero signage no navigation. Put some tee signs in and better navigation and it might go up in rating.. Also rather open for a course
@aainnocenzi
Good parks course. Lots of walking between holes and no tee signage. Restrooms and water fountains present.
@discjockey02
Park style course, longs/shorts, well maintained. A course that makes you throw good shots and make putts. A great contrast to the courses in the area!
@caine6060
Wide open shots, course is for distance throwers. Long gaps between tee pads, great place to get some field work in.
@salamander546
Beautiful course in a great park area. Very challenging shots with a decent amount of pedestrian interference. Long walks between holes but great views along the way
@jalexander24
Tee pad placement is good. Using more of the park and making it 18 holes would be more beneficial. But overall great layout. I would change a thing on the shots.
@bingyyisadisc
awesome course, just needs finished and will be perfect. a little difficult on some holes, but will be playing here very often.
@jhay21
Looking forward to tee pads. Markings beyond spray paint will go a long way! Overall, fun course but long. Looking forward to future improvements
@felloffifa
Course is pretty sweet. Hole 8 needs cleaned up a bit in the left side rough. I understand making a more difficult layout but 95% of players can’t reliably clear a 350 foot corner with OB looming on the right side fence. If the park will allow it clearing some of the thick and thorny stuff would go a long way towards making sure everyone can enjoy the course, even while the birdie is still hard to get. I look forward to seeing how this course develops though
@zmyracle
Fresh course that is suited for bombs out in the open. Tee areas could use trimming away from trees. Decent new course.
@resejhordan
For just starting its great! The holes are long which helps you work on max distance and accuracy
@sleepyt
This course plays to a longer arm, which is fine. Shot placement is key here and parking the hole after the first shot is not likely to happen. This is a great course to challenge yourself. A great addition to the discussion golf portfolio in Central Ohio.
