Disc golf course

The Grove DGC

Spring Grove, PA

This course was just put in as of April 2021 after students at Spring Grove High School won the "Pitch for Pins" giveaway for 18 baskets. The course is open, but provides a variety of different shots and amazing elevation changes. Natural teepads are being used for now marked by ground markers (white=pro, blue=am, red= beginner). Tee signs on all holes have yet to be installed and bridges are still needed for hole 1 and hole 15 (please be patient as we complete the finishing touches). Hole 1 starts to the right of the parking lot in the open field in front of the Windy Hill Center. School activities take priority over disc golf so please be aware of any sporting events and/or other activities.

Great design to test your distance throwing. No shade or woods, so bring your sunscreen and sunglasses. I'll be back when they get tee pads though because I like the Big Picture of the course.

Enjoyed the course. Did have lots of difficulty trying to find the teeing areas, but found all but one. Lots of exercise to be had with hills and distances between holes. Mostly open. I could see some natural OB areas with the adjoining fields. I plan to return. Is a nice course for breaking new players into the sport, although it can be a challenge for any level depending on how it is set up.

I didn't mind the tees (simply colored grass tufts) when I found them. Make them easier to find and it gets 5 stars. Also hole 6 should be par 4, not par 5 for blue tees.

"Tee pads" are pretty difficult to find since they're just two little plugs/tufts of colored artificial grass marking the front corners and a couple seem to be missing. There's a good mix of short and long holes. Almost every hole is wide open with a few interesting exceptions. There are also a few good elevation changes that make things a little more interesting. I didn't see any public restrooms available.
