About the course
DISCLAIMER
There are NO BASKETS. This is an object course. You will need LONG PANTS, STURDY SHOES, and plenty of WATER for this long mountain course. BE READY FOR A HIKE! Keep an eye on your disc... Long carries could leave you searching in tall willows and grass. Furthermore, "fairways" are unkempt and make disc finding difficult. Be prepared for a 3 to 4 hour round on unmaintained terrain. Please watch out for wildlife and moose. Respect their home.
ABOUT:
The targets are trees with “strike zones” marked with white and red stripes. Be prepared for long drives over dense shrubs. Many holes have technical woods shots as well. There is a dramatic elevation gain while many holes are par 4’s and 5’s and play at distances up to 800 feet. Enjoy!
DIRECTIONS:
This course is located on peak 9 at the Breckenridge resort. Leaving the Beaver Run parking lot, drive up a half mile to the Peak 8 Super Connect chair lift. Park, but do not block the gate! Find the first tee by walking past the gate uphill for about 75 yards. You will find a blue sign on the right labeled “The Willows”.
WAY-FINDING:
Each target tree is labeled with a blue arrow indicating the direction of the next tee on “The Willows” and a green arrow will help you find “The Pines”. Trails are marked with blue and green markings respectively. Please use U Disc layouts for help finding tee and pin locations.
2 COURSES:
THE WILLOWS plays all 27 (3-4 hrs)
THE PINES plays 18 of the willows in a shorter loop (1.5-2.5 hrs)
RULES:
TARGETS:
Each target is a tree wrapped with white or red stripes. You must hit in between the stripes, and hitting the metal strip is just further proof that you made the shot. If it's close, use your best judgment. Hole 11 plays to a ski painted white and red. Hit any part of the ski!
PIN LOCATIONS:
There are two pin locations for each hole (White and Red) with the exception of hole 11, that only plays to a ski. You may choose to play the white course, the red course, or any combination.
THE "ROCK":
Each tee pad has a rock with a white and red side. Play to the target that matches the color of the rock that faces you.
OB:
There are a few holes with out of bounds. They are marked with white marking whiskers in the ground. Holes 14,17, and 24 are and island green and have a drop zone labeled with blue marking whiskers. Take a stroke and play from the drop zone. Or ignore the island greens because this course is hard enough.
The OB on hole 27 is mandatory! Do not throw from underneath the chair lift on 27. Please respect mountain operations and quickly grab your disc and play from the drop zone to it's left. Thank you!
LOST DISC:
If lost you may play from the approximate location of a lost disc with a stroke penalty or throw from the previous spot with no penalty.
Write your name and number on the discs before play and with any luck you will get a call.
STUCK IN A TREE:
There is no penalty for a disc stick in a tree. We only hope you can retrieve it and you may take your relief with no stroke underneath where the disc came to rest.
MOOSE RULE:
If you can not complete a hole due to wildlife, every one gets a par.

Difficult to find. Bush fields are impossible to find discs. Some neat throws for sure, but too hard to locate targets

@limpidlavaegg
Course is very rugged. Bring boots as you will probably have to wade through some wet areas. Overall the design is pretty good just not as manicured as most courses.
