@roadto501
Put it on your list. One of the best around.
@collinoveracker
Beautiful scenery and a nice walk. Too many throws from tees into blind areas with tiny fairways and tall grass is what holds it back.
@pureboring
No water or trash cans present on the course some pretty demanding shot shapes but some pretty views made for a pleasant round
@noahdodge
This place is absolutely gorgeous! I think it’s fair that this is referred to as a “disc golf trail” due to a lot of shots needing to land in tight spaces. Wooded holes are tight and technical. Field shots require precision on landing zones. The rough is very tall and difficult to find discs in without spotters. I played the longs by myself and did not play from the longs on 14 as the blind drive would have surely gotten lost in the rough without a spotter. That being said, the course is on a state park and the rough is part of the scenery and natural ecosystem. Please be aware that this is not a place to smoke/drink/do recreational drugs. It’s a place to enjoy the beauty of nature. If you’re looking for a great nature walk with your discs in hand, this is the place. Allow for extra time to be one with nature, as in look for your discs in the scenery. Overall it’s a great course design with good variety of shot shape and elevation. Good course flow as well. Don’t forget to pay your $5 parking fee when you arrive.
@chadf32
Lots of love spent on signs and signage, tee boxes, and baskets.
@lothda84
This course is great. Signs and views and shot shapes are great. Rough can be rough but this course is great.
@tenaciousbri
Nice views but course design is poor
@hudsonbeaty
Very overgrown, prepare to high step through tick infested thorn fields looking for your disc unless you can accurately land a disc within a 15 foot wide fairway.
@benbrockbank
Wear pants, bring a spotter and discs you don't care about.
@bradjb
Tall grass everywhere. Should not play without a spotter
@roostercox
Decent course. I played the whites. Due to growth of trees, some of the white baskets did not have a great line. Tree was down on the basket of hole three. Views were nice. course was fairly well-maintained with fair fairways. I would certainly come back and play again. uDisc has not been updated with course photos or distances though the signage was good and I shot the distance on several holes which was fairly accurate.
@phatcap45
Amazing course. A couple shitty tee pads but oh well, such is life. People complaining about the rough just need to be more precise with their shots. Can’t wait to go back
@asaspiller
Nice stop off 81. Much of the rough is grass/shrub pasture and can be really hard to find discs. Stable up & stay in the fairway. Main layout is great, but it seems skill level required for beginner/red tees is very inconsistent. None of the tees should be shared as red & white. Maybe put a 4x4 post painted red off to either side of the fairway for kiddos to learn.
@teaganblatt
Super fun course very similar to Moneta Park. Both layouts are great but I would love to see turf or concrete pads!
@bmcaldwell
Anybody tripping about the T-pads here must have overlooked the inedible course they just encountered. While yes, strange tees, this may be one of the more fair courses available. The long tees were reinforced with solid mesh, making your run ups nice. Short tees were sand-like, and the shot at hand required a standstill approach. Imagine Greenbrier in WV had a baby with Greenfield in Troutville VA. Hole 3 may be one of the best DG holes from the long tees in the game. Hole 5 very picturesque and iconic. Lots of ace run opportunities here. Great course, great views, super fun, highly recommend. Will be easy to lose a disc here in spring and summer. The roughs here will take blood in any season, recommend pants.
@tuvatom
The tee pads could be improved. But they were not the worst I have ever played on. Signage was very good and easy to navigate. I would have been nice to have signs on short tees too. The views were awesome and the hole designs were very interesting. The course seemed well maintained and mowed - at least in December. I am not sure what it will be like in the summer. I am looking forward to playing and learning this course more going forward.
@jimriner
Tee pads are the only problem. Pretty views and cart friendly. Liked it overall, but, have to throw from grass on some tee pads.
@gregreynard
Great course. Some tees pad improvements would be the only need. Also a layout added.
@thetrinidad
The new tee pads are great! So much better than before! The fairways were well kept maybe a bit too narrow for my liking, definitely don’t want to land off the fairway the grass is knee high . Lots of walking bring plenty of water and some deet!
@hamelguy
All white tees have been revamped, and they play great while staying true to the eco friendly goals of the park. The course is gorgeous with great views, and the signage is top notch. There are benches on each hole. Good shot variety, lots of elevation and shot placement. Good course to bring non-disc golfer friends to enjoy the trail and views.
