Really really nice course. Would love to see better baskets. Great shot variety. Some holes are a bit of a hike. About 4 miles total for the whole 18. Some holes have you shooting over campsites which I could see being a problem, but they were vacant when we played.

I have mixed feelings about this course based on my recent experience. I’d like to start by saying that the surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning. This backdrop sets the stage for an amazing gem of a course with tremendous potential for greatness. That being said, our experience saw several fairways with very high overgrown grass combined with visual difficulty seeing the baskets even when using field goggles. This was due to next to no reflective material being used on the baskets. I think we saw one small orange flag on basket 16? In addition to this problem, no numbers were on any baskets with the exception of an 8, if I recall correctly, on a basket on the back 9. (Basket 12 or so, I can’t recall exactly but definitely not basket 8) The layout overall had several clear ways to progress as well along the way to the next basket, but enough areas where clear markings would have been more helpful to avoid head scratching navigation moments. I’ve played over 50 courses all over PA, OH, NC, TX, NY, and SC so I feel that I have some good sense of navigation judgement at this point which made me feel that for beginners, this course would be somewhat difficult to navigate. Still, the incline and decline terrain of baskets 16 and 17 were extremely fun and a nicely seasoned challenge. Another plus was that the tee pads were of a good solid concrete quality which were nice, and basket 14 within the pine tree plantation trail was stunningly beautiful, narrow and challenging. So out of 10 stars, 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest, I would give it a 6. I feel with a little work, this could be an 8 or 9 star course. It has so much potential!!

This course has been a 7 year project that got stalled for many years with changes in rangers at the dam. Recently, the course was converted from the original 9-hole layout to 18 holes. It’s a major improvement over the original course. Beautiful tee pads, easy to follow and some amazing views. Especially in the fall. Course was designed for all skill-levels and will eventually have multiple pin placements and hopefully another set of tees some day. Benches are being worked on and will be added next along with flags for the baskets so they are easier to see. The rangers have started playing also and have done so much work to make this course a reality. Tell them thanks if you see them out there.

This course has everything I love about disc golf - specifically a creative course with lots of fun shots in a stunning park. I like the variety of shots on this course. There are some bombs but plenty of fairway driver runs. You get some wide open but also some very technical wooded lines. They have signage and concrete pads. The park itself is just beautiful and they make great use of some dark timber land on the backside of the park where there are deer running the fairways. The course challenged my accuracy, which I enjoy. There are some great holes, including a shot down past a tiny log cabin, a very risk/reward Par 4 that is a literal corner and another great Par 4 past the Ranger Station that gives a multitude of shots. Ultimately there might be a couple too many "baskets in a field" type shots that keep this course from the elite tier. If they had a second set of tees I would bump it half a star.
@larrylarval
Mixture of short and long shots. Beautiful scenery. I'll be back.
@discdaddydavis
I'VE Played several versions of this course and wow did this come together. Good mix of wooded and open holes Great for all levels A hidden 💎 .
@swilson56
Great new hidden gem. Course will definitely be one of the best around once it beats in a little bit more in a few spots.
@nsteins
Wonderful course lots of wooded holes, some awesome up and down shots
@jhaworks
Awesome job on the course markers to lead you to the next keypad or amazing. They're very small but easy to find along the trails. Their eye level. They're about 3 in x 3 in and all. It is the symbol of a disc golf basket and it's an orange, real easy to follow. Really fun to play if you're out in the area. Definitely played the new course
@nathanalleman
READ BEFORE PLAYING BACK 9: NOT cart friendly, holes 15-17 are straight wilderness dg: no paths, no fairways, no signs, and i never found the pad for 15. Udisc map is not accurate for these holes, especially the basket for 15, which I just happened to find, and is much further up the hill than udisc looks. Most of the front 9 has new pads and is playable; enjoyable even. Why parks love these garbage Mach baskets that are impossible to see in the woods I'll never know. If you're in the area, worth coming to play a long as you know what's up. Hopefully continuing work will fix these issues soon.
@zmyracle
New layout is great! Great variety of shots with a lot of similar holes to the original 9 hole course. Some open throws with mostly wooded, winding fairways. Final few holes are a wild ride! Will be back.
@peewilly0
This course is in contention for one of my favorites in western PA. Loved the hole variety and the scenery is incredible. Needs some benches, garbage cans, and alt pins/tees to make it a 5. Can’t wait to see this course and club grow!
@tblair10
It’s a good course and looks great for being brand new but the design isn’t anything special or crazy. A fun time however with a variety of shot shapes, be prepared for a hike on hole 15-17
@lorenbutz
Revised review on this course. I can only assume the back 9 is much better with the new signs. The front 9 is perfect now. Unfortunately my dog decided the front 9 was it for him. He's 14 years old so I had to oblige. Props to the rangers. Great job fellas.
@levievalt3
I love it! This course has improved so much! The design and variety of shots on this course makes it so fun to play.
@bigolmonkey
This course has really evolved in the last couple years. It now is a great mix of semi open and heavy woods, and elevation changes. Pads and signs help a lot. Night and day from where it was just two years ago. Great course!
@tomwhiteley
After hole 15 I didn't find 16 or any markers. I ended up on a hiking trail going the wrong way.
@coreyvinton
Fun and beautiful course. Some areas with long grass and some new holes with fairways that need cleaned up make it a bit of an adventure, but a worth while one if you're up for a hike. The new tee pad on hole 17 is jaw dropping.
