@arothsch
Has potential for a 4.5 or higher but needs some serious cleaning up of fairways
@ecbnorge
Beautiful area. Needs: - clear fairways especially blackberry vines - clean teepads - make pathways between holes - signs
@drittguttafc
Having spotters is essential on back 10 if you don't want to spend alot of time looking for, or loosing discs! Decent shoes is also recommended;) fun course. Thank you Tuscany 🤌
@veruzian
Unplayable. Staff wasn't there at the time slot we agreed upon via email. Eventually found the course with help from the owner who lives there (it's another steep drive from check-in), but everything was too overgrown to play with waist-high "fairway" grass.
@mattb1x
While I don't think I would consistently pay to play this course if I lived in the area, I do think I would pay for the views at the top. Like other reviews, I'll say it is a very strenuous hike during the front 9, a lot of work for a pretty lackluster layout. I did not get to experience the back 9 due to it being gated off, which I didn't expect, but I'm guessing it's a little more exciting to play than the front. Overall, I would recommend trying to find a different course in Italy if you want to keep your streak going, this one was not worth the drive and stress. But checking it off your list for a one time experience with friends is worth it.
@ahawkins
Leave your zucca carts at home boys, and slap on those hiking boots, Whichever mad lad who designed this course built it into a steep hillside. Playing will get your heart pumping. Make sure you have gps on your phone because there are no clear walking paths to the tees or baskets. Just follow the arrow and scramble up the hillside. The baskets are not visible from almost any of the tee pads so it could be tricky for first timers. Name of the game is huck and pray it lands in whatever suggestion of a fairway there may be. Best part of the course besides the views, are the teepads you could land a small airplane on. Not sure who said to make them that big but I like it. Challenging and rewarding vistas. Holes 18 + 19 make the whole course worth the effort of maneuvering getting here and through the round. P.S. Use a stick to poke around the tall grass before diving headlong into it to find the disc you shanked to oblivion. There is a non-zero chance you might stumble across a snake orgy… P.S.S. If anyone finds an unsigned kasta Jarn, may it suit all of your overstable needs.
@dannybetlock
What a place. Only lasted 11 holes. I'm in shape, though 49 yrs old and this was a tough one. Better off parking every hole or being a mountain goat as many pins are simply on the side of the steep hill. The back 9 looked more open but still hilly and tons of trees. Glad this is here to keep my weekly streak alive and to have played in Italy but I wouldn't put it on a bucket list. Oh, the drive up to the course is not for the feint of heart either.
@solhatlen
Nice property for a disc golf course. Long walk to get there. Playable but in desperate need for maintenance. Grass and other growing thing in the baskets and on tees. Too much low hanging branches in the fairways. And lots of thorny branches on the ground many places on the course, even in the fairways. Designvise many nice holes, and pretty good variation. But also good potential for improvement. Especially on the pro layout - back ten.
@spinoza4uuu
We’ve played more than 75 courses worldwide and this is one of our favourites. Amazing scenery. Fun technical components. Course signage says the first nine is best for beginners, we don’t think this is correct. The first nine holes are on very steep sloped hills poor shots have the discs rolling downhill. The owner is super nice and very helpful.
@oetejo
Beautiful surrondings, but hard to navigate with the long grass. Has so luch potential
@seanincarmel
mostly overgrown. holes in forest were more playable. no route to get from hole 9 to 10 so was not able to play back 9. I wouldn't go back unless some major improvements happen.
@lafish
Stunning, breathtaking, spectacular views. Variety of shot designs. This has massive potential to be one of the best courses I’ve ever played. However, the entire course is badly overgrown, you need to bring brightly colored discs, and be prepared to lose a few. Way-finding is difficult as well, as there aren’t logical paths from hole to hole. And one basket (14) is currently missing. Also be prepared to hike! This is a very steep course. But I stand by my previous statement. If they cleared the fairways once a month and added some signage to the next teepad, this could be a destination course. Front 9 is more maintained than the back 10. Pro tip— this is not the course to have your significant other follow while wearing converse. Hypothetically speaking of course. 😎
@kevinskurski
This course is on an amazing property. Even the drive to this course is beautiful (although intimidating in our rental car). If the course hasn't been maintained recently, I can see how this would be a 1-2 star rating. I happen to play while they were cutting/trimming for a tournament the following day, so I was there on what I can imagine was the best possible day to play. I could see where it hadn't been cut yet and it was waste high grass. Would have been impossible to play. Front 9 says for beginners, and with mostly 200ft chip shots I would agree hole length wise. What isn't for beginnings is the mountainside you walk up. Expect to be thoroughly tired and out of breath after the front 9. Back 9 was more typical of a regular disc golf course. Huge open shots on flowing mountain top. It was delightful to play. Again, if the grass was higher it would be nearly impossible to play. Signage on the back was also a little confusing. Overall my experience was incredible, 4 stars. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't a little confusing at times. I can completely understand the 1-2 star reviews if you came on a tall grass day. Literally unplayable.
@ohthatdodson
Only got to play the front nine but a super pretty course, didn't need to look for a discs at all and had amazing views plus got to jump in the pool afterwards. Can't speak for the back 10 but definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area Needs a bit more signage but totally manageable from udisc maps
@bogamann
Don’t make this course the reason why you choose to travel to this area of Italy. When we went there the course had been standing unattended for a while and we were warned to play because of snakes. A long roundtrip for us not being able to play.
@blåfjellreven
This is the worst overgrown course I ever seen. No need too play this course .
@zimling95
The course’s scenic however very overgrown and difficult to find and be prepared to drive very much uphill and on rocky roads.
@ageric
Holes 6-9 need a lot of pruning. Back 10 needs maintenance for 5-6 holes. Teepads are off angle pretty consistently by 25-40 degrees, making baskets hard to spot. Many holes don't have reasonable lines because of vegetation. Trees need trimming on back 10. A basket seems to be missing on hole 13. Also, course map and udisc disagree on layout. On back 10, few baskets are visible from the tee at all, making the course superhard for first visits.
@alextw
Great course. Overall in the summer just needs maintenance with weed and plants, a few holes require you to power through the undergrowth. To get there you have to follow the signs when you get close from pescia, google maps is not correct. There is a big parking space right at the course. Great variety, mostly uphill though. 200 m climb total. 5 stars if better upkeep.
@wesbosse
Vegetation is a bit thick but Stella and team are working on it. It’s a hike but the views are worth it. Not super long but there are some technical shots and birding some holes requires hitting a pinhole gap. I had a blast, thank you Stella and team for making this happen.
