Fun challenging course. Most holes play right. Could use more that play left. Played short pads.

Front 9 is beginner friendly and well maintained. Back 9 is for more intermediate and has plenty of trees and wild fairways. Very secluded and quiet in the woods. Good play on a hot day.

I'm sure those that put this course in had good intentions but now its pretty much abandoned and not maintained. Those that work in the parks and rec portion for the Manistee National Forest should be embarrassed about this course's lack of upkeep.

No actual fairways, tee pads and baskets have just been placed in the woods with no attempt to clear anything. Several holes play across the main walking path forcing you to wait for people to walk by.

Unkempt, seems like someone just stuck cages in the middle of a densely wooded forest. The Manistee River does go by it which is pretty.

The first nine was fun, but it gets monotonous with long holes and tons of trees on the B9. When I got home I had 5 ticks crawling up my legs. The upkeep on the holes could be better, and apparently locals love to play and litter the place with beer cans. Big bummer because I really enjoyed the first nine. I love a technical course, but there's just too many trees to do anything but throw and pray, no variation from hole to hole.

Narrow fairway through the woods, fairly short, $5/car fee,as a side note there are stairs down to the Manastee River, a LOT of stairs, but it is not necessary to go up or down them to play the course, great view too.

Bring your bug juice, the biting midges are out in force! Tight, technical course. Good signage. No use fee required currently.

Most of the holes have little-to-no discernible lines. Not worth the $5 fee.

Course is a 4.0 for the first 9 holes, but the back nine are a 1.5-2.0. 7 and 8 need a little clearing, but nonetheless still good and very fun front nine. The back 9 is just atrocious like why is 11 a par 3 with no line, but 12 straight line par 4. Why is 18 a par 3 when longer than most of the holes? Lines are non existent on the back nine and fairly over grown. Course could be immaculate if they gave it some good TLC and fixed the back nine. Would not recommend this course for beginners.

Heavily wooded almost to a fault. Needs a little tune up but will still Require Very tight challenging and specific lines. A fun course, just humbling. Probably not super beginner friendly at least from the main/long tee pads

1-10 are an “easy warm up” compared to 11-18. Bring bug spray. Pretty course.

Very tight lines throughout the course with many blind shots. Hardly any upkeep and the walk from tee to tee cross other fairways. It's a nice with with the wilderness.

It’s a Wildman design. It’s 18 baskets. You usually have the course to yourself.
