@tdsvejda
More trees than you can shake a stick at.
@mtmraber
Pretty tough to navigate. Fairways feel pretty uncared for. Fun to be in the woods but not a course to keep score on.
@lonerager
The front nine is somewhat playable, the back nine is (like everyone else is saying) basically unplayable. If they actually came out here with a bush hog and maintained it, it would be a very fun course.
@jakehayles
Beautiful property in a national forest. Course is poorly maintained and very narrow on many holes. Would not recommend playing the back 9 due to incredibly poor upkeep and overgrowth so bad there literally are no fairways to hit. Would recommend going elsewhere locally to play.
@cannibalfood
Has potential to be a destination course, needs a fair amount of fairway maintenance on the back 9 especially. Had a great round for playing blind and would return again if in the area
@blawson68
This course could use some work. It’s overgrown, the lines are rough, and the signage is meh. It was a super peaceful course nestled within Manistee National Forest. There’s a lot of potential here with some more attention and some small redesign.
@topherodean
Is a decent coarse situated on a National Park. The scenery is well worth the walk if nothing else. It’s worth playing into can say that you did. $5 is rich but meh…it all gets wasted somewhere.
@pruszkowski
Weird place and the $5 for parking is a bit rich, but it’s the only course in the area so it’s nice someone made it. Teepads are tiny, lines in front 9 are very tight and overgrown. Not a great course but I’d play it if I lived closer once in a while. Has some interesting holes, stunning view and great tee signs. 3 stars
@tignasty
If I could it would give it a big fat goose egg 0! My opinion but hear me out... 1. 5$ for parking ( April - December ) 2. Too many trees 3. Not accurate 4. Not enough kept up on course for paying for parking 5. y'all wanna see,, go check it out and see for yourselfs P.s. only thing good for this course/site is the sightings of nature and the old school log River runoff My 2 cents Tigger
@pseudodudo
fun course if you’re okay with getting beat up a bit // a couple of the fairways are pretty gnarly but most are fine - bright colored discs certainly help // could use a touch more upkeep/clearing considering it’s a pay-to-play course
@bkfitz3
Fun challenging course. Most holes play right. Could use more that play left. Played short pads.
@motron
Beautiful course if you like trees!
@kyleacker55
Front 9 is beginner friendly and well maintained. Back 9 is for more intermediate and has plenty of trees and wild fairways. Very secluded and quiet in the woods. Good play on a hot day.
@oldmantom
I'm sure those that put this course in had good intentions but now its pretty much abandoned and not maintained. Those that work in the parks and rec portion for the Manistee National Forest should be embarrassed about this course's lack of upkeep.
@wesisgod
No actual fairways, tee pads and baskets have just been placed in the woods with no attempt to clear anything. Several holes play across the main walking path forcing you to wait for people to walk by.
@grantpah
Unkempt, seems like someone just stuck cages in the middle of a densely wooded forest. The Manistee River does go by it which is pretty.
@sameasy
The first nine was fun, but it gets monotonous with long holes and tons of trees on the B9. When I got home I had 5 ticks crawling up my legs. The upkeep on the holes could be better, and apparently locals love to play and litter the place with beer cans. Big bummer because I really enjoyed the first nine. I love a technical course, but there's just too many trees to do anything but throw and pray, no variation from hole to hole.
