Could make a nice 9 hole course with a little effort.

With some support from the college this could have been great. Multi-million dollar projects going on around campus, but they can't spare the cash to make this course how it should be. A little money, and making use of their Stockbridge program to maintain and expand this course, could make it something to be proud of. I don't hold out much hope for that.

Wondered around for 20min getting eaten by bugs to find that the first two holes aren't there. Udisc shows them but apparently they were removed. Didn't bother seeing the condition of the other 7, assuming they are there.

Really cool area for a course. Could easily accommodate 18 good holes with some strategic design. A few holes could be immediately improved with just some small tee/pin adjustments. Can see it getting pretty overgrown in the summer, but it’s a good winter course. Has a lot of potential with some time and effort

Holes 1 and 2 are gone. Course could be good if maintained and restored to a full 9 or ideally turned into an 18.

Thick punishing fairways, needs teepads and meadow maintenance. A lot of poison ivy. Has potential.

Well kept, fun, some nasty tunnel fairways.

What tees? 🤣 Dirt tees, occasionally marked with signs. Feels like you’re playing on a half-assed course on a college campus. Watch out for poison ivy, prickers and ticks. It’s an ok course if you can’t go elsewhere.

Nice course but very overgrown off the beaten path

Needs better signage and tons of poison ivy in the rough. If you don’t care about that it’s a fun layout

Neat course with some great shots. Feels like the space could be easily utilized for an 18 hole course if rearranged a bit. Would be a 4+ star course with a little TLC. The natural teepads are a little rough and the signage could use some help. Getting from hole 6 to 7 (and finding 8 teepad for that matter) was pretty difficult even with UDisc. Lots of potential here and a beautiful space overall.

First three holes are well maintained and relatively open fairway shots. 4-9 get a little jungle-ish and need to be mowed. Pulled off 4 ticks so beware in the long grass.

Great course. The map should be updated for Hole 9, otherwise we loved it.

I enjoyed the course. Orchard Hill has shots of a few different shapes, uphill/downhill throws, and short/long distances. The course could use some signs to lead players to hole one, and some directions to tee pads after each basket.

Good course overall. Rough is very rough. Hole 9 tee is down the hill in the open.

Currently the upkeep is great, but may end up dwindling as the year goes on. UMass just cut all the hedges, but it will be overgrown soon. Not a diss but just a reality.

I definitely rate this course a solid 3.5. I love it dearly as I've been playing it for years and it's close to where I live and makes for a great relatively quick 9-hole without being too easy or too short. It's playing quite nicely right now as there are no leaves on the trees and no poison ivy and no new thorns here in February. I just can't give it a four without it having better uniform tea pads. There are clear tee spots but they are mulched zones
