I love that most of the baskets have a rung painted to show direction to next tee- a visible band at the top would be helpful especially on baskets in the woods.
@robmcc25
Difficult to find the next hole. Swampy.
@maiacolon
The steps to get down into the woods are rotting a bit, several are broken and very slimy, I nearly slipped. Teepads really could use some work, some are hardly squares, but it's a well designed course with interesting holes.
@amancini
Course was not taken care of. Steps going down to wooded area were rotten, and or missing. Poor experience.
@flacco
Course is eh. No matter the experience level, this one will present a challenge. Would not recommend for a skilled player.
@hohlbe
Small tee pads. Old baskets - hard to see. Kind of a weird layout in terms of flow. Holes were still pretty fun. Lots of RHFH or righty backhand turnover shots.
@jondakrontz
Bridge on hole 10 has some repairs needed to make sure everyone is safe going up & down.

I think a lot of the perspectives on this course are a bit harsh. This is a course established in 2009, and after my first go around the track I was convinced it has stood the test of time. The pars are fair but challenging, and there is a learning opportunity present for players of all skill level. This 18 settles along a state park with some great residents and campers. The ambiance is very chill. Some cool bridges, water play, a hole that plays into a sunflower field, a giant dam to sit by before or after. Only possible improvements could take place is in the bathrooms and the consistency in length and levelness of the tee pads. Yes they are not great for run-ups, but serve well if you play it like a long pitch-putt. Grass was very well maintained and whole park was clean and honestly very serene to go around. Thank you to the Van Buren Rangers, ambassadors, and residents for what this course is.
@cloud1902
Sold course. Lots of shorter T boxes, tunnel shots in the woods and a couple up shots. Some overgrowth.
@aendico
Tee pads are too short. Switch to turf or redo the concrete. Wooded holes are unplayable after rain.
@nickemerine
Fun and challenging course! A lot of improvements have been made recently including signs, recycled tee pads, and some layout changes. Pros: Great shot variety. The park is beautiful, #18 is a highlight hole. Short and long tees ensure a challenge for all skill levels. The pro tees are especially tough. Cons: The tees are small but manageable. Some signage is missing, and a few of the distances aren’t accurate. Had some minor safety concerns with a few holes throwing across the road (especially #9). There’s also a random basket near #9 tee pad. The boardwalk/steps on #10 are in rough shape, so use caution. Good chance of losing a disc on several holes, so throw bright colored discs. Bugspray/long pants are recommended. The course has stood the test of time and is a great course to have in the area. Very grateful for all the hard work that went into maintaining this course.
@gooneybird
Nice open course with a couple amazing wooden shots, surprised it’s not rated higher
@solmyrhiru
Holes 10-13 need more maintenance. Notably the slope up to 12 is covered in broken glass.
@roccoruns13
Nice course, tee pads are too short for a good run up for my noodle arm :)
@sethgeorge22
Tee pads are small, some baskets are to close to the pond. I know it makes things tricky but new players will not like losing discs.
@schmity95
This course is actually a really good time I have no idea why it's so low rated I will say it seems like some of the holes in the woods towards the middle of the pack probably are completely underwater and there's a lot of goose turds around the holes near the parking lot. Besides those two things this course is really pretty great and deserves a better rating overall.
@kingjings
Tee pads are bad. I’d rather not have tee pads over short slippery pads. The 3 holes that got added need a lot of help. Hole 15s basket needs placed somewhere other than in tall grass up past your knees.
@davidhenley
Loving the new layout. The longs provide different shots and the chance to really develop a well rounded game. Yes, the tee boxes are short. Yes, more work needs to be done. But definitely my go to course right now!
@clocktheduck22
Layout has been updated on UDisc. Course is way more fun when it’s dry. Would not recommend if it has rained a bunch as holes 10-13 will be incredibly wet and muddy and nearly unplayable.
