About the course

This is a short 9 Hole course at the Virginia Key beach park. $5 CASH to park at the course. The holes are short (between 120-300 feet) and weave between some wetlands and natural areas with some medium-tall trees. Tee-pad locations were once marked with short red post that have no signage and seem to once have hole numbers but not all holes currently have numbers. The tee-pads are small and have faded pavers that tend to get covered by leaves and grass clippings. If you follow the map here on the app you should find them relatively easy. There is a large open soccer field next to the parking lot that is large enough to throw disc for practice as well. The park offers beach access, playgrounds, barbecue grills, covered picnic areas, and picnic benches.

If your coming to enjoy the park maybe the $10 entry is worth it. (Not in my opinon, it appears to be pitifully mismanaged. ) If you are coming here to play disc golf, don't. Go to another course. I've been playing disc golf for 24 years and this is the 2nd most disappointing course I've ever played. The most disappointing for a pay to play course. The basic layout is close to being ok but when you have a park that doesn't maintain the course it's almost unplayable. Speaking of the park I spoke with three employees and none of them could tell me where the course was. One had no idea they had a course. The other two couldn't tell me where the tee for hole one was and it turned out we were standing in the middle of it's fairway. Extremely disappointing 😞
