Huge thanks to the City of Walker and the Walker Parks & Recreation for creating this professionally built Disc Golf Course! I really appreciate the opportunity to be involved in this incredible project and I’m very impressed with the completion of the end result! With the plans of additional amenities and course improvements, there’s no doubt that this will be a Top-5 Disc Golf Course in Louisiana!
@prix560
First steps in the making of a great course.
@mattsesser
Nothing like it in the area, gonna grow into the best course we have!
@unkljeauxjeaux
An Awesome course that will only get better with age! This will be a top 5 course in the state!
@cruzmcinnis
The best in Baton Rouge in my opinion. It has a lot of different lines, and it also has some fun long holes in the woods. You can just tell how much work they put into this place. Once everything is finished, and is broke in it will just be even better. The scenery is also out of this world! I can’t wait to see this place broke in, and help the sport grow!
@wmunson
Wonderful course that has a heavy emphasis on hitting pure lines in the 250-300' range with a couple bomb holes sprinkled in.
@danielpunkay
Awesome to see the city so supportive of disc golf!
@scottwalsh
This the type of course that every community needs. It is well designed to be inviting to all. The holes require different shot shapes and, once completed, there are some sneaky hazard zones that will challenge veteran players. Thanks y’all for bringing us a fun track.
@alexhertzog
It’s not even completely finished, but this is an absolute gem. Could be top 5 in the state once it matures.
@jamie
A NEW STANDARD!! The depth of thought put into the design is unmatched, no surprise from the best designer in the world. The holes are reachable for most players, but still require skilled shot shaping in order to score. Most of all it's FUN to play! City of Walker built new restrooms, the clubhouse has a covered patio, a warm up area, and plans for a pro shop on site. The course is beautiful today, and will only get better as the hundreds of plantings mature. The crossroads will be an epic garden when it grows in, and the course plays fast! < 2 hour rounds are normal out here.
@anderstable
Beautiful course that starts with two open fairways on a grassy field, followed by 16 holes in a sparse, shaded forest. Most fairways are straight and run between widely spaced trees, with two or three requiring a throw over a obstacle or OB. While the course is enjoyable to play, players who prefer more variety in shot shapes might find the layout somewhat limited. That said, it’s perfect for a beautiful and relaxing round. Two practice baskets are available near the start, and the course offers shaded seating areas, toilets, and a drinking water station. You can truly feel the care and effort that went into building and maintaining this course. We had a great time playing here. Thank you!
@nathanschussler
Great DG park with tree lined fairways to challenge those straight drives!
@benro82
Excellent new addition to the local area courses. This place is still under construction but I thoroughly enjoyed my first time out here. This course could use a few mandos to really spice things up and make it more attractive.
@roadto501
Other than being followed by park staff for half the course... an enjoyable experience at a premier park.
@connorapainter
Tall pines, no undergrowth, excellent landscaping and groundskeeping work including trimmed grass fields, tiered greens, and precisely lined OB areas. Practice baskets and easy, safe parking. Fun shot variety and scoreable. A simple, delightful experience close to I-10.
@bezone30
Still in construction with the potential to be a really nice park style course. Unfortunately it had just poured down when I played so was muddy but nice course
@waluiginumber1
Almost every hole the basket is directly in line with the tee pad. Dead center. Course feels small. Way better courses in the vicinity. One and done for me.
