I would not consider this course beginner friendly. I feel if your rating is under 900 you are going to struggle. There is potential for this being a decent course it just needs a few hundred hours of chainsaw work.
@chrisbgraham
Looks like there was a recent redesign - 18 baskets with two tee pads per hole. Not overgrown, in good shape!
@rtaylor34
Very fun and sometimes technical par 3 course.
@vanadaar
The Johnny Sias redesign completely changed this course. Basket 11/12 are the only two that remained in the old 9 hole course. It's now a short technical course with actual tee pads. Park staff confirmed better signage is on the way, but it's pretty easy to follow as is. Lost and found down at the office.

Choose your own adventure. No teepads. 4 baskets on a trail and 5 in a field
@jthomp29
Very short couple wooded holes at first then couple wide open holes. Never found tee markers for last three holes. Just made it up. Not a destination course but fun to play if your staying at the state park
@hollywood8152
Tee Boxes are rocks painted in the woods and I couldn’t find any in the field. Course needs attention but a good little course just to get some practice in.
@jazzyfromsa
This course needs some love. Seems like baskets were put in and then forgotten about. Tees for 1-4 were okay to spot (orange rocks on the ground) but once it went in the field couldn't figure out where was supposed to T from ended up just making it up. Could be good, but needs work.
