Nice layout with shorter and longer holes. Wooded and open. Worth the stop.

Overall, the course could have been better. The land has some potential, but the novice design and execution hold it back. It's very new, but there's a lot of work left to do still. With better maintenance, I would give it an extra star. The current design and tees, in my opinion as a course designer, don't warrant any higher rating than 3 even with better maintenance. The steep elevation and debris make it less accessible to the very young and very old, who it would otherwise have served well given its very short distance. Pros: * good variety of shots and elevation changes * A few well placed little bridges are helpful * The property has potential with lots of elevation change and many nice and varied mature trees * Despite the cons, it was fun to play as a casual course. * Way finding was easy - my brother and I had no trouble with navigation. * It was easy to find the disc golf course. It's location in Remus makes it easy to get drinks, snacks, lunch, etc. * Generally, there was sufficient space between fairways so that people on other holes were safe. Cons: * Generally, the course is very short. Many of the holes are so short they border on comical. The way the course was designed, there's no option to extend most holes with long tees. If the land available is that limited, It might have been better to design 9 holes with two tees and two baskets each. * The trees are very small and the rubber surface can hold water. I'd guess the wood they're mounted to will rot before too long. * The tee signs are placed inconsistently. I think they do help with navigation, but it's off-putting and counter to indicating tee orientation. The tee signs are also very basic. * The few longer, open holes are boring. * The course seems to border a swampy area. I played on a cool morning, but I suspect bugs could be a huge problem here. * There are brush and debris piles everywhere, many inside the circle near baskets and immediately off narrow fairways. * There was at least one basket that was planted under a dead leaning trunk of an old apple tree. I expect that basket will be damaged when the trunk falls. Removing the trunk will be much harder with a basket in the way. The location of the basket will be less attractive when the trunk is gone. (Poor basket location choice). * The parking area isn't well marked. We just guessed where to park. * There was a lot of refuse - a huge dirt dump, lots of old metal and concrete, etc etc etc. * The ground wasn't wet on the morning I was there, but it looked like it could become extremely muddy. * There are some extremely steep grades that would benefit from stairs or a graded path, or even just a marked path. Soil compaction in those places could result in a lot of erosion and result in losing old trees.

Fun little course! Small but not too small. Looks like really good in-progress work going into the woods with some nice elevation.

Great course, will definitely come back. First time I’ve seen it on app. Great use of space. Looks like they’ve added more but still working on it. Excited to see how this one turns out. They’re off to a great start. Definitely needs signage. But once you figure it out not hard to navigate.

Great beginner course. New baskets. Rubber mats. No map on UDisc but easy to figure out. Nice bathrooms. Good 9 hole course in the extra space around park. Well done.

I have played here before. I found it by accident and I really enjoy the course. It looks like there is construction and more hole to come! Unfortunately, I left a disc on 7, which i caution about playing. My disc is in an easy to retrieve place and I don't have any information on it. There was a large bird, possibly a crane in the rough near where my disc landed and the bird was spooked, so I surrendered my disc and let the bird be. I don't know if it has made a home on the right side, so please be mindful of that. I will contact the DNR to check it out, and will update with any information Happy discing, Wheatland!
