Actually, quite the fun little ace/birdie run course. Extremely enjoyable and a very nice little park to boot.

Waited over a year to make a review wanting the course to take shape after the redesign, before I proceed, I want to be very clear how highly I think of the club that maintains this place and how much I WANT to like this course. Let’s start with the good, the Teepads are phenomenal! 12’ turf well leveled. Signage is excellent and well marked. There are some really fun looks and tee shots on this course and again the club is great. Now to the ugly… this new layout is gimmicky as could be. Hole 2 there is not a line, it’s either a long throw in 2 or the easiest 3 on the course, meanwhile the shorts require a well executed shot. Hole 5 is a poke and hope. It’s got potential but there isn’t a line more than 3 ft without little trees blocking the way ready to knock you into gnarly rough. Hole 8 you’re probably going to slip on the hill approaching the green, need a better path to get up to that green. The back half plays a lot softer. A few too many sub 400’ par 4’s. It’s not a bad course by any stretch and with some tweaks could get better. I’ve tried to separate the old layout and not allow it to influence this review but once one see’s what’s possible with the land and what’s been done to the course it makes you wish it was still in what it once was. It’s still a fun place to throw and I’m grateful it’s here.

There is a dedicated group of individuals working countless hours to improve the player experience. We’ve had volunteers adopt holes this year to keep up with course maintenance. That has had a huge impact on upkeep and overall playability of the course. Tee pads for all 3 layouts are installed. Club focus will now turn to general maintenance and beautification of the course.

Need experience if you are ready to take on the Jungle (MM). Need UDisc. Like the elevation and shot selection. Just tough directions and need a spotter. Like the long holes.

Great wooded course with 3 layouts. U can spend all day here. Most of the tees are artificial turf which is the best!

Great tee pads and signage. The Sawmill layout is very tight chip shots for most of the 18 holes, it will challenge your putting skills.

Course still favors Righty backhand throwers but is wooded and fun to play. Bikers cross over the course in several areas.

Great short course with some challenging technical tree shots.

Lots of leaves. It’s confusing for first timers to navigate but signage will get you there 80+% of the time. I few weird holes. Played the short layout. 155 ft flex shots through trees is a tough ask, but why more than once. It was a good stop to stretch the legs traveling from NH to SC.

I hate to say it but this course is rough. Layout is pretty horrendous. There is really no fairways. The lines you do have to work with are goat paths and walking trails. Several times the other mill course is mixing in with this courses baskets. So u walk up their “fairways” without knowing. Shame really. So much room. Piss poor layout. Plus a chainsaw would help to make some lines. If you like blindly throwing 300+’ feet into dense trees and vegetation hoping to par a 485’ par 3 while climbing 3 floors…this is your course! I will not be back. Sorry. Much love to those who work it and are trying

My suggestion would be to create three unique courses on udisc instead of having the two short courses as just layouts. Other locations that have multiple courses do this Great work out there

Hard and tight, but a great challenging course. Course continues to improve. Clearly a lot of work going into this course.

This is my home course and it’s one of my favorites. Lots of tight fairways and tough rough to keep you honest. I typically play one of the shorts as a warm up before playing the longs. Shorts are great for midrange putter practice. The longs will test your skills with distance drivers. The course has a lot to offer. Things continuously are being improved and made better. The signage is nice and with udisc navigating the course isn’t too bad. If you’re worried about thorns or elevation this course probably isn’t for you. The longs do have a lot of blind shots (as is typical for long woods courses) but after the first time you’re there it’s not too bad to get the hang of.

The course is fun. But VERY hilly. I won’t comment negatively about the pads/etc as the organizers said that it’s still under construction. But I will on the layout. It just didn’t flow well. You had to backtrack all the time. And go up hill just to turn around and go back the other way. A lot of holes you can’t safely play until people are two holes ahead of you. And also the crazy long wak between 4 and 5. Just to then cross back into the woods.

The long course is very gimmicky. If you play for par, it’s ok. When you get birdies, 1/3 are due to lucky breaks, 1/3 are due to skill, and 1/3 are bogeys due to bad luck/gimmicky/punishing rough.
