Historic course. Enjoy it for what it is. The 1st time I played here I didn’t care for it. The 2nd time I thought it was better than I remembered. The third time I was hooked. This is one of my favorite courses in the area and I really wish that more courses were designed like this one. All you need here is a few putt and approach discs of different stabillities and the course will teach you how to use them. The close proximity of fairways is not an issue because nobody is throwing drivers, let alone at full velocity. And if there is an errant throw, you will definitely hear somebody yelling “fore” because they’re only a hundred feet away. The challenge of this course is the creek. Most courses are challenging because you have to throw far enough to get close to the basket. This course is challenging because you have to control your throw enough to not overthrow the basket because you’ll end up in the creek. I’m happy to see they’re updating the signage. Tees, lines and distances seem like they need updating on signs and in the app…. Especially Hole #1! Most of the course is intuitive enough to figure out for anybody who’s played a few different courses. But the most annoying part of this course is that you can’t figure out where the heck the 1st tee box is just to start the course!!!
