Significant upgrade from the previous layout! Great variety and good balance of wooded and open shots. Course needs to be broken in a bit; wooded holes could have smaller branches removed to solidify gaps. Will continue to improve as it’s beaten in.

Am I missing something about the redesign? Front 9 has limited/no fairways - lots more trees need to come down for some holes to be playable. Back 9 still just zig zags through an open field, except 15 and 16, which are well designed. I was hoping for more with such a high rating. No trash on the course, good parking, and clean walkways are nice to have, but don’t make up for what this course lacks in design

Took an already alright course, made it harder, and about 10x more interesting. Well done Scott Reek. The first 7 are very wooded and technical, and 15-16 are a little wooded, but very fun. The rest of the course is pretty open, but there are no repeat shots, and it's very fun to play. Well worth the wait.

Nice redesign to the old Shawnee Mission course. 2 sets of baskets and multiple pads in several holes. Longer than its predecessor but the wooded holes are a nice touch. Solid course that will make you work to score well.

Playing longs the middle and end of the course aren’t bad but holes 1-3 leave a sour taste in the mouth to start the round

This will be great once the official permanent teepad signs go up and the old tee pads are removed. I’m excited for a new, more challenging course challenge at SMP.

It’s a new layout, but it feels the same once I finished. There’s a few cool wooded holes, and a bunch of open bomber shots. Playing tall grass OB makes it a little more interesting. There are a lot more options with the 2 pads/2 baskets. A work in progress I’m sure, but for now it’s so-so.

What a refresh! Excellent use of the terrain. Wide range of hole styles without ever feeling gimmicky. Maybe a few pars that are a bit to easy but there are others, looking at you 2 long, which will make you earn it
