Must play. Wow! Well kept, rough can be a little rough but not too punishing on your body. Your shots, it can be a little torture, in the best way. Cursing but mostly at myself because every shot felt achievable, results varied. Be smarter than me and ask ahead of time. They were very gracious and accommodating despite my last minute plea, sitting at the gate as I read further down the Udisc listing. I got at far as the rating and was sure I needed to play here. $5 is worth every penny.
@isuaggie
Really enjoyed the play. Beautiful property with hills and narrow fairways cut through mature trees. Very fair lines that require accuracy more than length. Strategic basket placements that reward good shots but will punish approaches lacking precision. Will make a point to drive the 90 miles to play again.
@abevs13
Great course that could be even better without so many tough greens. Too many raised baskets and baskets on hills. Laying up from 35 feet so that I don’t lose a putter in the lake isn’t fun.
@coopwill
Great course! Tee pads and signage is all you need. Great mix of short technical holes and a couple big throws. Really fun final holes along the water.
@celliot97
Some great things about this course - wonderful teeing areas and signage are a huge plus. The design is okay, with some really gimmicky holes that aren't all that great for competition. Overall, a good play and worth the $5.
@jaystengel
Unsure how this course hasn’t been included in Ledgestone before… as it has incredible tee pads/platforms, pins, and shot varieties. Seriously a must play if you’re in the area.
@madande
Tee areas and signage are great, but wish the fairways were more cleaned up. If you get in the brush good luck with thorns, posion ivy, tics, and spiderwebs. Not for newbies. Bring bug spray. Lots of blind holes.
@thedryver
Great use of land. Course is still new and there are definitely a few holes that are a bit of a poke and hope, as you will have with new courses. Take some of those trees down and lines will be cleaned up. It will be a lot more fun. Great overall design.
@rojerlockless
Fun wooded course
@phillipwall
Fantastic for a new course. Played this for ledgestone and was impressed with the quality of the tees and property on short notice. A few too many elevated baskets for my liking but a scorable challenge nonetheless. Good variety but mostly woods.
@deadndiscs
Favorite course In the area and that’s saying a lot! I will remember this property fondly. Really great use of the property, beautiful views around the lake, lots of elevation.
@sirjiggle
Very technical course very rewarding when you hit the line
@widgtraveler
Although we played YA just before Christmas in a 10-15 windchill, the course was incredibly fun and well designed. Was quite impressed with the amount of tee pads constructed on wooden decks. Also noticed other tee pads being constructed and whoever is constructing them really knows how to do it right. Can’t wait to come back down from Wisconsin to visit family so we can play this course on a day that doesn’t have temps below freezing.
@swagatron
Course has had a lot of improvements have been made in a short time. All of the permanent pads have been put in. Course is well maintained, has a good shot variety, has benches at almost every hole with a place built in to put your bag, and the new permanent tee areas are some of the best I have had the pleasure to play on. One of my favorite courses and will continue to come back.
@anthonypasek
A real gem. Make it a priority if you are nearby or passing through.
@htownbandit1980
Easily becoming one of the best gems in central Illinois. If you have an opportunity to come and play this by all means DO!!
@tim314
It is still under construction. There are a few Tee boxes missing, but that does not diminish the quality of the course design. When completed it will be a 4 star course.
@alexdowley
This course is immaculate! Played the Ledgestone Flex here and it was great! Favorite course in the area now for sure! Challenging and fun! Teepads are amazing! Definitely a championship course! Really hope this course stays on the docket for next year!
