Harvest Workday

CCDGA will be holding a work day at Harvest Fields to get the course ready for the PSU Open on March 14. There will be no league round scheduled on that day. As of now, it is expected to be in the mid-40s, so hopefully the snow will be gone. The main objective of this work day is going to be gathering dead limbs and brush along the sides of the fairways. The kind of stuff that gets in someone's way and they throw it five to ten feet. Then it ends up being in someone else's way 30 minutes later and it gets thrown again. I want to pile it in organized locations where it is out of the way and can be easily loaded onto a truck and removed from the course. We may also have people doing briar and brush cutting work. Work gloves are recommended. If you have small cutting tools like hand pruners or loppers, that would be helpful. Also, brush hauling equipment such as a wheelbarrow or yard cart would be really helpful. We may be able to make arrangements to get those to the course if you don't have a vehicle to haul it.
