History

Brazos Discs started pretty simple — I was managing Slow Rise on the Brazos, raising an kid, and trying to find good discs locally. Like a lot of folks in Waco, I wanted to actually feel a disc in hand before buying, so I set up our first little display right inside Slow Rise. From there, things took off. I had the chance to take over the pro shop at Southern View Classic Course — a course I already loved — and turned it into the first Brazos Discs brick-and-mortar location. We’ve worked hard to elevate the course, support local leagues, and make it a real home for disc golf in Central Texas. Now, we’ve expanded into Bike Smith Waco and 1854 Mercantile in Gatesville, giving more players access to premium discs, used gems, and gear that fits their game. At the end of the day, Brazos Discs exists to help people throw better — by giving them a chance to feel the disc, know the flight, and find what works best for their game.
