About the course

Rocky Mounts newest disc golf course. All baskets are in and tee pads are completed. Tee sign's are installed as well. Heavily wooded with elevation changes. River can be in play on holes 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Course plays throughout a popular, multi-use park. There is a bike trail that intersects with the majority of the fairways.(1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18) Walking path is close on holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Please be mindful of other park users and always look before you throw. Please yield to all other park users. Many people using the park are still unfamiliar with the game of Disc Golf. The bulk of the vegetation cleaning on holes 1-9 is complete other than smaller stuff that will take time to complete. facebook.com/RockyMountDG instagram.com/RockyMountDG

This is easily the best course in the Rocky Mount area and one of the strongest courses in North Carolina east of I-95, with excellent land featuring woods, hills, elevation, and exposed rock. • Outstanding variety in hole length and design, ranging from short technical holes to true par-4 and par-5 looks, with a balanced mix that never feels repetitive. • The course flows well and starts and finishes near parking, with an alternate start near holes #10–11 that could arguably improve the overall round. • #2 is the signature hole, an uphill throw to a basket set on top of rock with great views, while the stretch from #6–8 along the river is scenic and fun, and holes #12, #15, and #17 provide excellent elevation and variety. • Wooded fairways are wide enough to allow aggressive play, offering a refreshing contrast to tighter, more punishing wooded courses. • The main drawback is safety, with several holes playing near or across walking trails and multiple blind tee shots, compounded by minimal tee signage.
