Course is a hidden gem with loads of potential, just needs a little polish. Decently varied shot shapes allow for both backhand and forehand players to find success here. Given its newness, roughs are still extremely rough and fairways could use a little more shaping to really develop the lines. Optional mandos, OB or Hazards could help give the course some more teeth for more experienced players while keeping it a fun experience for newer players as well. It plays fun with some awesome views and enough elevation change to give you a pleasant challenge. Words of advice: spot your friends - discs can easily vanish in the leaves and rough on the wooded holes, and the thorns will eat you up. Make sure to swing by the restaurant afterwards; grab a drink and chill on the terrace or have some food - it definitely makes the trip up doubly worth it! Really worth a visit if you're passing through or local. Can't wait to play it again!

Consider this review in the time it is made. November 2025. We played November 2025 as this course is in it's early going. It will most likely improve. We played two rounds. Day 1, first experience. Day 2, tournament play. NOTES 1. There are no pads yet, just wood lined boxes that are evenly groomed. 2. Cart friendly. 3. Very scenic. 4. Plays fast. Two players approximately 1 hour. 5. Brambles in some areas are extreme. Especially along hole 2. 6. Baskets have practice style ground support as it is clear they can be moved by field producers during a time of experimentation. With success of gameplay, one would think permanent style baskets will come. 7. Course has a confused identity. Beginner holes to middle difficulty with a couple boomer shots DAY 1: Shot -6 under. No wind. Hole one almost eagled as it should be a par 3. 14 of 18 are technical, the 4 remaining are long open field shots. Day 2: Shot -1. Even with tossing a short drive away after tripping over my own boot, and a re-tee from a lost disc that flew 15 feet over the basket in a covered ravine (hole 10?), I had managed to recover enough to shoot under par on a very windy day. The field owner did visit us during gameplay. He wanted feedback. We shared thoughts on hole 9 regarding no real lanes to the basket. (Example: Canby West Hole #3). It's a very short hike so it's not a big deal but definitely one that doesn't immediately show a clear lane other than from a left side approach. I'm an average player. I'm better on short courses. This one seems to have both beginner T's and middle difficulty at best Ts, which explains my own decent scores. The course is on a very old estate converted into fine dining restaurant, winery (with tastings) and a host for weddings. If you have a spouse that plays, you could make a real day of it here, but dinner will set you back with single crab cake entres at $39. Still the outdoor patio area, and multiple fire pits overlooking hoes 17 and 18 with the Bohemia as a backdrop are something to behold.
