It’s the only course in Joshua tree area love it. You can get on even if you’re a civilian just have to book a time and go to the ocotillo gate tell them you’re here for a golf tee time.

It would be nice to have the courses separate so golfers and disc golfer don't interfere with each other or worry about getting hit. It needs to atleast have signs and a direction to be able to follow the couse. It needs interest in order to justify the cost but also needs to be a better course to get interest.

No tee pads, teeing areas not marked, some baskets are bent and very crooked, golfers regularly shoot onto shared fairways without warning. It’s better than nothing but disc golf is clearly not a priority to this location based on upkeep and etiquette.

Could use signs for each hole with directions to the next hole and a map of the hole you are playing. Marking out where the tee pads are would be a huge benefit to the course aswell

Missing tee basket for hole 3 and 17. No official tee pads just guestimate your tee pad long holes so that’s good lots of windage due to elevation makes the holes a challenge, I’ll keep coming back

Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. No tee areas, UDisc is accurate though. Baskets 3 and 17 missing. Some fun shots and a cool setting

Fun, free course. Almost always empty and all you have to do is check in with front desk. No real tee areas or signage but that’s expected with a free course. Overall golf course is maintained well and easy to get to all holes.

I recommend changing hole 18 to a par 5

Tee pads would make finding your way around 10x easier.

Just found out that there are plans to improve the course. If you are able to play the course and are willing to volunteer your time for improvements, let the front desk know.

This "course" barely even qualifies as a disc golf course. It shares the same land as the base (ball) golf course, so you spend your whole round watching out and taking turns with ball golfers. The only maintenance the disc golf course receives is the upkeep that the ball golf course receives, so the portions that are not overlapping are completely unkept. And they expect you to pay to play here.

Course needs updating and tee pads. There is no tee box at all and hard to find start point. Please update

Could be made a lot better with actual tee box markers (maybe some painted ammo cans) and baskets that were fixed with concrete and not temporary.

Fairly boring course design but a fun jaunt thru desert fairways adjacent to ball golf course holes. Hole 5 is a fun dogleg right that wraps all the way around a thick tree line. High winds make for a challenge. Hole 9 should be a par 4.

See course description for my review. Other details... If you’re staying in Joshua Tree, it’s either a 30 min drive here or an hour drive to Hovley Park in Palm Desert, so we chose here and had a great time.... The layout minimizes contact with ball golfers - does not track the same holes.... Baskets are nice. Tees are just grass with a basic sign... You’re welcome for mapping the course on UDisc ;)
