@turbocraig
This is my first course that I learned to play discgolf on in 96. I’ve always come back to play over the years. May it never change and always be a reminder of the good times working at Lake Hotel.
@borser1
Woodsy course with decent mix of elevation, open, and technical shots. Design isn’t great and just a mix between baskets and obstacle holes. Dirt tee pads can be tough to find and no signage whatsoever. It’s not a great course. But… playing a round of disc golf in Yellowstone is still pretty cool. Bring good shoes, bear spray, watch out for scat, and have fun. Seems to be a course set up for employees but it was easy to park and get to and nice to get away from the crowded attractions for a bit.
@strangeflyers
Not well maintained, pretty technical. It’s tucked away near an employee-only area, but that honestly makes it feel kind of secret and DIY. Hit a sweet drive off the tee in hole 3, but the wind caught it and blew it into the woods. So there is a free Diamond driver somewhere near hole 3 if someone is able to find it.
@soonerdiscguy
Course is in pretty rough shape but playable. I have updated the map, the UDisc App and course details, so check them out.
@m3llow
Located in employees only area, don’t bother
@dereks
fun unique course. pretty navigable for an object course. tons of buffalo dung. had a great time
@nerpyy
Cool course that will eventually get better as more of it becomes established
@cclime
You have to go in understanding that finding tee pads, baskets/hole markers will be difficult. It’s hilly and overgrown. But if you go in with the right attitude you will have a blast. Playing disc golf in Yellowstone! It’s worth a couple hours!
@evan37777
Amazing view but could only play about 3 holes, no upkeep whatsoever.
@aaron1986
Watch your disc. Have a pole or some rocks. Have time to look for tees, discs, and objects
@ryansamulski
Only found three out of the eighteen baskets on the course. Bad course directions.
@brownclawman
Heads up! Asked at the hotel concierge desk about disc golf information. Was informed that if you're not a park employee (NPS/Xanterra) that you can't play the course. Don't catch trespassing charges in a National Park. However, I do think it is rather rotten to put a course on public land and not allow public access!
@johnstevenmoses
Cool views and wildlife. Hard to find your way around the course.
@ranger101sniper
Thank goodness for Tommy! Tommy has worked at the park since 1982 and without him I would have never been able to navigate this obj/basket mix course. Meeting him on hole three made my day! It is a cool course with lots of history. I really enjoyed it but without playing with someone who knows the course it is unplayable.
@nomadnick
I assume this course was made by someone working at the park in their off time, and that is commendable. However when being honest and comparing to other parks it needs work. Specifically signage is pretty non existent. Some holes have baskets with wrong numbers. Some holes are objects with a number and basket printed on them and some do not. Paths are pretty over grown in many spots. Unique novelty but wears off quick. Also appears parking is employee only so you'll need to walk a bit
@wileyjus
A little tricky to find the holes but beautiful wildlife and scenery
@whitesands
Hard to follow the map they give you so use the app. So cool though - different than any course I've played.
@landoncramer04
It was a fun little course but very confusing the first time I went it was super confusing but the second time was fun once I had it all sorted all out.
@unclem
A clever little course with very little markings and lots of confusion, but enjoyable anyway. Some clever challenges and interesting shots and nice views.
@bblack1
Great potential if they finish the course
