About the course

Lake Montebello Disc Golf Course offers a mix of wooded technical play and open lakeside holes. Holes 1–7 play through the forest with a variety of shot shaping and elevation changes. Holes 8–17 open up along the lake and surrounding open areas, before Hole 18 returns to the woods to finish. The course layout was updated as of March 25, 2026. Play now begins near Morgan State University (formerly Hole 3), where parking is available, and finishes near the original starting area. The final hole (Hole 18, formerly Hole 2) ends directly next to the current Hole 1 tee, making for a convenient loop. Several course modifications have been made, including the addition of a new hole in the back section to replace a removed hole, and adjustments to fairways due to new fencing. One hole now plays longer with a shifted basket position to accommodate these changes. A previously missing basket has also been reinstalled. Tees are currently natural grass. Most holes feature multiple tee options, and several baskets offer alternate pin positions. Continued improvements, including tee upgrades, are expected.

I like the long open drives here. Some tee pads disagree with Udisc or just aren't there. One or two baskets are in positions that don't exist and 13 basket is just missing. Some long baskets not marked in the app.

Update: this is a real and full course again. The course is not in outstanding shape, but it’s up and running again and it’s genuinely fun to play. The basket of 14 is missing and you need to use UDisc to find where to throw from. If you play Druid hill a lot and want a new course in the city to try, this is well worth the time to play.
