Update: this is a real and full course again. The course is not in outstanding shape, but it’s up and running again and it’s genuinely fun to play. The basket of 14 is missing and you need to use UDisc to find where to throw from. If you play Druid hill a lot and want a new course in the city to try, this is well worth the time to play.

Pretty abandoned for the most part

Interference by multiyear construction and lack of upkeep are only making conditions worse. Holes are unplayable and parts are unconnected. Pass this one by.

Has no upkeep. Construction blocks some holes. And finding the tee areas are impossible without the app. Beautiful lake view is the only plus.

A few interesting shot shapes are the only reason this course gets any stars. Construction is still disrupting holes 1 and 14-18. Grass/brush is overgrown throughout the course and makes footing especially treacherous on the wooded holes. The teepads that were carpet or natural were really hard to get good footing on. Lots of trash and glass on the course.

Courses will always need upkeep and maintenance but we played here recently and approx 5 holes are closed off due to construction activity. I still love it here.

The road to the course is closed. I ended up parking around Morgan states alumni house which put me between hole 2 and 3 so I back tracked to the first tee pad. Course has a fun layout in the woods but the open holes are overgrown and tee pads are non-existent or very worn/not level.

HOLE 1 and 14 ARE UNPLAYABLE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. Course needs love but was still fun. Back 9 is well groomed in comparison to front 9

Rough around the edges. The sinkhole is repaired but someone told me to keep off the area around hole 1 and 14. Hole 2-5 are overgrown, but the course is actually playable. Huge tree down on 15 and geese 16-18. Still have to park on Hillen Rd. But I played all except 14.

The course has multiple tee pads missing and without markings. Hole 14 is gone too. I enjoyed the challenge and design of the course overall tho.

The hardest part of this course was finding it. You have to park on HWY 41. Then walk over to the lake and follow that walkway all the way to the north end of the lake. Along the way you start to see baskets, but the first baskets will be holes 14-18. The rest of the course is split off further up, so keep walking. Soon you'll see a path in the tall grass to the left. Take that path and it will lead you to basket 1. I never found the tee pad for 1, but the rest of the course is easy to follow.

Many tees aren’t marked well and OB/heavily wooded areas off the fairway aren’t marked well. The course is fun and challenging, but the above issues make it tough to play the first few times.

You’re trading a little bit of polish for the benefit of nobody being here, compared to Druid Hill. Definitely recommend it on a nice weekend.

Always a pleasure playing montebello. Holes 1, 14-18 are blocked for the construction but you can play a bonus 6T->1 long basket for a total of 13 holes. Park on the corner of Harford and Chesterfeild. Walk to 11s basket for a warm up. Play 12, 13, bonus (6T->1 long), 2-11.

Water main work is blocking Teepad of 1 and Hole 14 is still removed. Regardless, recently mowed and open outside leaves on the woods holes.
