Being gracious w/ the 3 stars, but we had a great time. Simple upkeep and sign arrows can make all the difference. Loved the elevation, scenery, and shot angles but the tee areas, upkeep and no next tee direction was tough. Watch out for the hornets on hole 7 - I went off the line and got hit by 3. π. It was an hour drive and if closer I would go more often. Some simple low hanging fruit and small areas to hit to get to 4-4.25 stars.
@itsastev
Course has lots of potential but needs some work
@patrickbvaughn
Tee areas need work but otherwise a gorgeous course with fun shots and unique holes!
@redsteel
Most beautiful course played yet! It is truly beautiful and serene
@origsquaggles
I think the course will get better with some traffic to vl an up the walking hazards. Lack of flag and signs make finding baskets and tee boxes hard.
@discgolfdylan
Fun course to play. Good variety and shot shapes and distances. Tee pads leave a little bit to be desired on some holes.
@ussmzm
Please update signage, add flags to baskets, almost camo out here lol!
@jimmy1145
First time playing. Really enjoyed all the different shot shapes and the elevation changes. My only complaint would be that it is very hard on some hole to see where the basket is. I get itβ¦.some are truly blind shots and that is fineβ¦.but if the baskets were painted or had flagging on them it would make a big difference. Especially for first timers. Other than that, course is awesome. Be ready for a hike!
@discofeverbhm
Fun course. Beginner friendly short tees and intermediate friendly βlongβ tees. I do not throw far (250-275) forehand drive and the long tees were not challenging to par and last ones decent birdie chances with elevation help. If you donβt suffer terribly from the 10-15 foot yips, like myself, you can go under. 100% will play again! Now for the review: Good signage Never got lost and did not rely on the app a single bit. I think there were 2 pads per hole for most if not all. A lot of the baskets needs to be reset or just some newer baskets as several are slanted a wee bit and all dated. Course was well maintained and mowed. The top branch of an old dead fallen tree in the water on far bank of water clear on 10 could be cut to reopen second (tight) window on right for 2nd water clear option (or at least bait you to thread it). 11 also has some branches down blocking the basket Concrete or turf pads to replace the rubber mats, fix the pads that dip in the front and essentially repair almost every beginner tee (was not fully paying attention but each time I did they always could have used some love), fix/replace baskets, and lastly take said old baskets and have a dedicated practice area (currently none and using 18 basket) and this is easily a 4+star intermediate course. Bathroom on right immediately when you pull in (wonβt touch it on the course until 18 pad). Park at the very back of the property.

Well worth the stop
@lyubik
Very technical and up and down. Be ready to hike hard
@eaglemcbob
Beautiful courseπ!!!
@asantana
The course had just finished being cut so it played really well. The holeβs gps for some holes didnβt line up with what was listed on UDisc. The views through the course were great! Definitely recommend for everyone!
@tsuarez99
Great shot variety, pretty views but very tall unkept grass.
@jevans7715
Scenic lake views and short mountainous disc golf. Perfect for an after work round. Really scoreable and lots of ace chances but also challenging if you miss your lines. Would play regularly if I was from the area! Could use better tee pads on most holes and some baskets need work, but I really enjoyed my time and got a good workout in as well! - Iowa disc golfer in town for work
@mikeyork
Decent. Some contrived shots in the woods, and uninteresting shots out in the fields. T-Pads are not in good shape, and course could use a little upkeep in the woods. Hole one is nice though.
@theveldt
Baskets are very hard to see, some tees have lost their posts and signs
@vreen1590
Well maintained, grass cut well. Tee Pads need updating.
@chrisconner
This is my home course so I'm a little partial to it, but it is very beautiful. It has not been well maintained by the city of Heflin lately, but it's still very playable and a fun course.
@musicphan4u
Course looks great! Course has complete overhaul. Trying to get used to each hole. Wood signage needs to be updated.
