For holes that are out in the open, Oak Hollow seems like a mediocre course. Shot variety is decent, there are some good baskets (different baskets throughout the course), but tee pads are so tiny and poorly maintained. Once you get into the woods, you’re in for a treat. The trails are so narrow, and you’re too busy trying not to slip in mud to avoid the overhanging honeysuckle branches scratching your face. Tee pads in the woods are just mud pits and multiple holes are impossible to birdie due to poor course maintenance. In all honesty, some holes are very fun to play while others make you question why you chose to place at Oak Hollow.

Great potential. About half is more open, park style. About another half played in woods. Good amount of elevation change throughout. All is playable as is, although I would question if wooded parts would be playable during active foilage. Wooded holes demand accuracy. So, good course to improve shorter accuracy throws. Baskets are of older design. Tee boxes could be vastly improved for better tees and signage. Some tees are rubber mats. Some tees are wooded boards. Tees with signs and posts are white tees. Also, some white tees are white wooded boards. Red tees are red wooded boards. Appears some red tees are physically non-existant. Overall, worthy to try out. Potential is there to be a great shorter course, but needs work to get there.
