About the course

Bethells aka Pae O Te Rangi Disc Golf Course is a challenging course near the beautiful coast of Auckland designed by Simon Feasey. This rugged farmland course has two 18 hole layouts and a Family friendly Camp 9. Be aware that in some seasons long grass and dense bush off the fairways can eat your discs so use spotters often. The course tests a players skills with a multitude of challenges, including long downhill drives with OB fences lining the fairways to short holes with precarious basket locations. There is a good balance of short medium and long holes Par 3,4 and 5's That said it has great signage and great RPM baskets and is a great challenge for intermediate to advanced players. Huge thank you to the Auckland Council who continue to make improvements and maintain this beautiful course.

EPIC course! Enormous farmland area with some really TOUGH holes. Long drives, hard turns, OBs, islands, changes in elevation. Markings are great, there are crossings over fences everywhere and pathways accross marshes. Although it can get pretty WET and MUDDY even on the paddoc (and tees đź’©). Encountered some COWS, so had to skip few holes. Use SPOTTERS everywhere from bush to high grass! Eats discs easily.

Super scenic but definitely a trek. Tee pads are a bit treacherous but overall it’s a great experience. Hole one isn’t reflective of the rest of the course, so don’t let it scare you away
