Don't listen to the naysayers. The course is magnificent. Gorgeous, well-maintained, challenging and, most importantly, really fun. Long winding fairways will force you to execute very specific shots, and if you miss your line you'll probably be punished. But that's golf, baby! Absolutely pristine course for technical players. A big arm is useful but not necessary. UDisc pars are way off for some reason, but hopefully that comes out in the wash. Good luck!
@maxstayton
Really good potential for a world class course, but many holes are not beat-in enough and the lines just aren't quite there yet
@monty35876
Pars could use a little work but overall, the bones of the course are incredible. Amazing shot shaping.
@throwsiba
A blast of a course that is a challenge to your ability to be consistent and on the fairway. By far the hardest of the three courses on the property. Good use of elevation. If possible play with someone who's been before as lots of holes are at least two shots and landing zones might not be what you think they are.
@buzzzmichel
It’s a good, hard course. It’s a lot of the same long-tunnel-flippy fairway driver or midrange that punishes missed fairways. Hole 9 is one of my favorite tee shots in Maine. However, the holes that the fairways veer off of the dirt road can use a lot of work still. Roots, rocks, stumps, wood chips etc…
@kennypoulin
Pros: Teepads and baskets are brand new. The course is difficult, but a great challenge. Lots of elevation and you’ll throw a lot of different discs. Cons: There aren’t really fairways to speak of. Everything is built around a walking/biking path. Which means the path is the fairway on a lot of holes and it’s about 15-20 feet wide. Lots of your good shots will end up with really poor footing. I do hope they trim a lot of fairways back at some point to improve on this part of the course.
@mehlhorn
Just roads, also not sure what’s going on with a lot of the maps in tee signs but they are wrong.
@reedteaches
What a challenge! This course will test both your max distance and ability to hit a line. I found the fairways reasonable, and really felt like the wooded holes on the Patriot course, just longer. Facilities at Pineland overall are top notch. Signs were not as bad as some reviews said, but due to the length of the holes there were multiple times we threw without being able to see the basket, and were wrong about its location.
@aleahy
The course has a ton of potential…feels like the greens are a little too guard for tight wooded 400+ foot par 3s. Definitely a fun course if you stay on the fairways
@nakall
Good course, needs better signage.
@franksavage420
Total war of attrition. The course asks for a lot of distance gaps, and the putting greens are actually pretty decent. People complain about ‘it’s boring’ and ‘it’s the same shot over and over…’. They just shoot +18 and can’t get over it. Solid course
@elijah10
Solid addition to the Mid-coast lineup! Maine States level course, it is a long wooded bruiser. Some fantastic holes, a lot of really specific and demanding shots. Aesthetic and variety not quite as good as Patriot, but a great challenge of decision-making and playing in control.

2024 Fall Review; Currently a diamond in the rough a la Woodland Valley Kodiak. Several tweener holes that require lengthening and or thinning of the approaches. Needs a real Pro par 5 to meet the promise of "11,000 ft Pro Level" course. Back 9 felt like it was rushed or unfinished to accommodate an opening that probably could have waited a year. Concrete pads have all the sauce one could dream of but some are placed close enough to preceding baskets that hamstrings the evolution of some pin locations. Overall, I'm excited to see it grow into a high caliber course.
@ianunderwood
No question this is an absolutely epic course. With only 2 par 3’s this thing is a monster and incredibly fun. Only issue with it is that the holes really aren’t all that memorable. After playing it twice now I can only picture 2 or 3 in my head, while the rest blend together. Since they all follow the same road, there are quite a few holes that are very similar. This is not a course that requires lots of different shot selections. Also I don’t get why the pars on Udisc are so different from the pars on the signs. The pars on the signage make it a slightly challenging but gettable course, while the pars on Udisc make it the hardest course you’ve ever played (there’s a 552ft par 3). I think if it’s just pro vs am pars, there needs to be separate tees or pin locations, because the discrepancy in difficulty by just subtracting or adding 1 to most of the pars is way too much. Not to mention the length of most holes make them fairly awkward tweener holes; a bit easy for a par 4 but way too hard for a par 3. Anyways, that is my nitpicky review on an otherwise great course. Definitely a must-play.
@zachvp
The course is on a gorgeous piece of property, but I think it falls short with shot variety. There are also too many tweener par 3's where it would be too easy if it were par 4's, but the par 3's are almost impossible to get into C1 with the current layout.
@narcnurse
Beautiful course. Would like some holes mixed in that weren’t so far. Very challenging and very wooded on some holes. Pars are incorrect on UDisc. We had fun hiking through! Long course lots of walking! Fine by me!
@trotnixon
Great course…long & technical. If you like a challenge this the course for you. Not sure where the disconnect occurred with the maps at each tee pad but the direction of the basket locations on those maps is WAY off. (Not sure about the distances). That’s just a nitpick that only affected my 1st round there. Playing my 2nd round there I was much more confident on where I was supposed to be throwing when I missed my intended line & threw into the first set of available trees. Even though layout frustrates my game to no end, the workout I get humping my bag around this course is always well worth it.
@smittypantz
Pineland has done it again. Just a few weeks into the opening of Commander and the course is fantastic. Tee pads are larger, baskets are perfect. Temporary signs for each hole will likely be replace once the course is fully operational. The holes are long and challenging. The course is built on preexisting walking paths so most of the fairways are clear. However the course will benefit from a couple months of disc golfers playing and breaking in the paths that are off the existing trails. I will be back soon.
@bludog76
I understand that this is a new course and it is designed for the “pro” player, but as someone who has been playing for 20+ years I was disappointed on many levels. *Rough is seriously rough, as in you will spend much of your round looking for errant shots. Not fun. *Hole shapes are generally fair, but some holes just don’t allow for birdies. *This course has been designed around a trail and I ran into about 5 people just walking that may or may not realize that disc golf is being played here. In summary, as someone who has enjoyed the challenge of the Patriot and the approachable play on the Minuteman, I was hoping this was going to be a fair, but challenging course dedicated to disc golf. On the plus side the tee pads are big enough to park a car on!
