@udiscbanor
A course that isn’t quite 100% finished yet. However, they’ve clearly invested in it — it’s 3000 meters long through both forest and more open areas, so there’s good environmental variation. But there isn’t much variation in the throws. The open holes are often 200–350 meters! Yes, you read that right. There are two par 5s that are 350 and 389 meters long. Completely open — it’s just hyzer after hyzer after hyzer. That said, I think the course could become pretty decent in the future. Let it settle over the next 5–10 years and it could be a course for 1000+ rated players. However, I don’t think the rating will ever go above 4.5 — maybe not even 4.4 — because the course is simply long and you’re using the same type of throw almost everywhere. The wooded section has some good holes, but even there it’s quite repetitive: 130–150 meter par 3s with hyzers that are meant to flip up and fade a bit at the end. There are basically no trees or obstacles in the fairway. It’s just a single line and a clean fairway, followed by a tough rough… unfortunately, the design isn’t great. That’s what will keep the course from ever really standing out — which is a shame, considering the effort and ambition put into it. Right now, I’d rate it 3.5/5.0. But as I said, I unfortunately don’t think it will reach more than 4.0–4.2 in the future, even if the vision might be 4.5+… that would require significant changes to the design. The space is good, but you don’t need to use all of it — that’s not always the best approach. Still, it’ll be interesting to see how this course develops over time 🙂
