About the course
Notice: Students that are interested in playing/learning/competing with other Texas State students. Contact the Disc Golf Club Captain Tyler B. at (512) 925-4775. All skill levels from never played to even MPO are welcome to join. Undergraduate & Graduate students are welcome. We are looking for more students to create an official Texas State club.
If you are not a student at Texas State, you can still play on the course, but chances you parking on campus and getting ticketed are very very high. The only way you can park without getting ticketed/towed, is to park at the LBJ Student Center parking garage located on 704 Gaillardia Street, and pay for an hour by hour ticket. The longer you're parked, the more you must pay. Also keep in mind if you do park at the LBJ garage it is going to be a bit of a walk to the course.
If you are a student and have a parking pass, please follow whatever parking lot/garages rules when parking. the Specks Street Garage (Green/Purple Permit) by the Soccer Complex/West Sports fields is perfect for parking near the course during the weekdays. On the weekends you can park at any lot/garage if you have any parking permit. If you are a resident at any of the dorms/buildings nearby the course, you can just walk.
The course starts at the bottom of the hill behind Blanco Hall, or behind the parking garage right next to it. There is a practice basket right by the north entrance to the Blanco parking garage, you can practice putting/throw-ins before your round. There is an additional basket next to it (Hole 15), just be mindful when people are throwing from the top of the hill.
The first hole starts at the bottom of the hill next to Old Ranch Road 12, the tee-box is a large wooden frame with gravel/dirt inside it, if the box is muddy you can throw besides it. Please abide to the Mando's on holes 1&7. (Meaning you must throw past a Tree/marker in the direction/side that it points to, its a penalty stroke if you miss it, then start your next throw at the Mando on the correct side).
There is also an additional bonus hole after hole 18. (It doesn’t count towards your score, just for fun) Play it from the gravel/dirt patch and throw away from the road (You should notice a long open pathway and a 90* turn. About 320-370 feel long hole, Par 3)

Fresh cut grass and new up keep being done on some tee boxes and hanging limbs.

The course has some fun lines but those are overshadowed by it’s bad upkeep, fallen trees, vicinity to the road, and rough tee areas.
