Easy access and a nice-looking college campus make this a convenient stop just minutes off NC-64. • The open and lightly wooded holes (#1–4, #10) are stronger than the wooded layouts, largely due to inconsistent maintenance in the woods. • Several wooded fairways are essentially walking trails, with thick rough immediately off the fairway that makes discs hard to find, even on short misses. • #12 is the highlight of the course, a short but excellent hole where a tight fairway and the threat of the pond behind the basket create real risk-reward despite the sub-200-foot length. • Other strong holes include #9 (good multi-step concept with a tricky approach), #13 (signature pond carry), and #16 (water again in play). • The course has solid bones and plays fine overall, but improved fairway maintenance and clearer signage would significantly raise its quality.

The wooded holes are rough (sometimes with kudzu thorns or ivy) and buggy only a couple of steps off the fairway while the open holes have you throwing over active roads. The ten good holes don't entirely make up for the annoyances of the other eight with their overgrown gaps, fairways adjacent to roads, or roughs in need of clearing: averages out to just above a middling course in its current form. Immediately better if you come when there are no students and if the rough wasn't as ill maintained or annoying to navigate on errant shots as it currently is. Course is currently best played in the late fall or winter when there is less ground cover. Nearby, I prefer NC Wesleyan, Battle Park, and Sunset Park for similar or slightly longer and Stone Park for shorter. Beats out Farmington and Complex DGC nearby, however.
