This can be a really fun course, but is highly dependent on whether the grass is being cut regularly. It's playable if it's long, but you need to keep an eye on where your disc lands. If you are coming out as a tourist, set your expectations accordingly. Public green space that is suitable for disc golf is hard to come by in Vietnamese cities. The new "nine in the park" layout on UDisc uses all unique baskets and had a good variety of shots, many previous reviews are based on older layouts that reused baskets, played across roads and into lesser maintained areas. There is usually a lot of rubbish around which is an unfortunate side effect of having free reign to put a course here. Depending on time of day and season, there will be changing breezes that keep things interesting. Between 9-3pm there will be very few people in the park due to sun and heat, and playing outside of these times is not recommended as it will be full with exercisers. Watch for the red ants and bees. Also plenty of harmless frogs and lizards around. No toilets on site but Ministop is available for snacks and water.
@cmydivot
There’s baskets which is huge for Vietnam but course is not maintained at all. Course has potential and there are 2-3 okay holes but most is very overgrown and park has a lot of trash and some areas were flooded. Might be better in the Winter months?
@petrihautala
I'm giving one star because there are actually baskets in Vietnam and second one for the potential of this course. And to be honest, the bamboo poles are so fun! BUT In a location like this, I'd rather see a course where one basket is used only on one hole instead of multiple holes. Make 6-9 holes (you can play these 3 to 2 times to make 18 holes) that are playable at any time of the day, whether the park is crowded or not. In the end, it doesn't matter if the holes are even as short as 30-50m, it's still better than something that you could only play if there are no other players on different tees. And on top of that, the park and the roads would need to be empty (they probably never are). I understand that the locals want to throw the 100m-ish drives but from visitor's perspective, it doesn't make any sense to throw over a road full of moving cars and scooters. Leave these holes for the pop up courses! Our round ended on hole 13 when my fiancee got stung by bees 13 times (coincidence?) - so be aware of those! 🐝
@joeldau
The new 9 In The Park layout makes much better use of the baskets, and has some challenging lines. The bamboo tonals are no longer used; all 9 holes play to their own basket. Red ants can get annoying but are easily brushed off, and I haven't come across any bees in months. It's a great spot for a casual round, the park is pretty empty from 9am-5pm
@maastradamus
It is actually quite fun to play at has a lot of low ceiling throws. Not maintained at all it looks like, but can be played without any problems. Not sure if there are locals, but there are some paths between baskets and next tees.
@heatlandbui
There's a few baskets, and few bamboo poles. No tee signs or tee pads so you just gotta imagine where you should throw from. Multiple holes to the same basket. Not much of a course, but I guess there's no other real option.
@jcuhb885
The one good thing about this course is, there is a course there….barely.
@josiahi
With some upkeep and trash being removed, the course would be very nice. Not all of the holes are baskets, some are bamboo targets
@endersadvocate
Good use of space, several baskets need fixing and the area by hole 1 has a lot of litter, but I enjoyed the course overall.
@bigjava
Awesome that we have a disc golf course in Vietnam! Thank you to the volunteers who made it happen. The course is pretty mediocre and I think would serve better as a 9 hole course. The holes repeat the same lines, and even baskets in same case so it's very repetitive. Very overgrown and sadly has a lot of litter due to the locals. Has potential though.
@deedub
Best course in Vietnam and right by the ministop
@martymcfly8
Needs serious grass cutting, lost my disc on the først hole
@sdl2512
Grass to high. Looks like it could be fun if the grass was cut
@derekdubie
There is an new course layout not on udisc yet. Lots of baskets and very unique tonals. Great course !
@nodder
Fun course in a nice neighborhood. Mix of baskets and tones. Was very difficult to find actual tee off‘s, but easy enough to figure out where you are throwing to. Ended up creating my own 18 through some of the back 9 and back to the front 9. Was still fun to get out and play. Needs some hole signage or a course map to take a photo of.
@stabcream
Back 9 have too high brush, hard to find pads and baskets. Public park area with too many people.
@hienle
18 holes, some baskets reused for multiple holes, and some bamboo tonals. No tees, no signs, not much upkeep. The grass was recently cut but not cleared away, so definitely still a risk of losing discs. I guess it’s better than nothing. The Udisc layout was helpful for navigating, but playing with a local was even better.
@johannh
Overall a great area with a lot of Potential. But unfortunately the gras is very high after hole 6. At the latest from hole 10 no longer playable.
@danielmac92
This course is not really playable. There are no tees, no signs of any kind, and the area is fluttered with grass, bushes and garbage. Not worth your time.
@multiii
Extremely high grass, no tee signs
