Good conditions
Fairways are great. Played 2 days in a row, got devoured by chiggers up to knees even with pants on. Spray your shoes and pant legs well.

About the course
*UPDATE* (July 7th, 2021) Waterworks now has gravel tee pads and a wooden post containing the hole number and hole distance. The post is laying horizontally on ground at the top of each tee pad. We’re working on getting proper signage out there as well, but for now there are orange spray painted arrows on trees and grass to indicate where to go. Please consider re-reviewing the course after playing on it with the new improvements. I’d love to get this course to a 3-star rating. Waterworks disc golf course is a technical and wooded course designed for players looking for a challenge. It requires accuracy, tight lines, and control. The rough is extremely dense on holes 2 and 3, but lightens up slightly further into the course. This course is a bit rugged and rough around the edges. It’s in its best shape when conditions have been dry. If it’s rained, often times the course gets over grown. Fairfield Parks & Rec can’t mow immediately since the mowers get stuck in the mud, so if you’re planning on playing the course, plan to go during dry conditions. I’m working hard on improving this course and making it more playable! If you have any suggestions, please leave them in your review. The best thing that can be done for this course is to get more people to play it. PLEASE READ: After hole 4, you will need to take the grass path north towards the Fairfield Loop Trail (gravel trail off B Street). Then, head east for about 500 feet. Immediately after the gazebo you’ll see a fork in the road: a grass path heading right and the gravel path continuing left. Take the grass path to the right towards hole 5. The basket for hole 1 is visible from the Waterworks driveway and the pad is 280 feet southeast of it.

Loads of potential, more TLC, regular mowing and some turf tee pads maybe even 9 more holes and this place would be a gem.

Was probably mowed a month ago, fortunately right before the drought started because this place is as unkept as it gets. Can’t find tees in the second half and if you do you’re throwing at least a bogey because there’s a 95% chance you’re lay will be in tall weeds. Geese everywhere between hole 9 and your car. What’s the point of having a course in the woods if you’re not going to take care of it? Just move it to the open area. Do better.

A couple people and I have put a lot of work into the course this summer 5-9 especially, hoping to continue the work this fall, please come try it out. After mowing extensive amounts and alot of course cleanup on the part of a few others the course is playable. Hopefully the city continues to maintain the mowing.
