10 yrs since I’ve played out at flannie. Still a fun track! I will say. Some things could use an update to make the course more enticing. Flanacher is a bit ‘out of town’. I was happy all 21 holes have permanent* tee pads(concrete pavers). But. Not ideal. Feels like your run up is over roots or a cracked sidewalk. Better then nothing…. Updated tee signs with more accurate distances, better visual to help direct the shot. Maybe some additional signage down some fairways to help confirm where the basket is. Quite a few holes are blind tee shots(can not see the basket on the tee pad) and are not short holes. Lol Took a light jog on a few holes to find the bucket before throwing. it didn’t help the baskets are older and are not very vibrant. They catch decently well. Mach3 era DGA. Flanacher is a good time and would recommend it to anybody who is wanting to play a course that is not nearly as crowded as highland and not as dangerous as scottlandville. A more advanced level players course. I hope Baton Rouge will one day reassert its dominance for bad ass courses in south Louisiana. Until then I’m happy flanacher is still here.

Recent maintenance on the course makes it playable again. If they keep the grass trimmed and overgrowth at a minimum, I’ll be back
