The UDisc's disc golf course directory is the largest and most frequently updated resource for finding disc golf courses anywhere in the world. The rankings here are based largley on the ratings of disc golfers with the UDisc disc golf app who make that directory possible.

Which Provinces & Territories Have the Strongest Top 5 Disc Golf Courses?

Since they're based just on divisions' strongest five courses, these rankings don't tell us a ton about the state of disc golf in these regions. Still, there are some interesting takeaways:
- Prince Edward Island appears to punch well above its weight by coming in at #5 while being the least-populated of Canada's 10 provinces (it has more residents than all three territories individually). It is, however, the most densely populated province or territory in the nation.
- British Columbia's top five is nearly as strong as Ontario's though B.C. trails in population – and therefore potential demand – by nearly 10 million.
- The huge fall-off in quality in Quebec (the second-most populated province in Canada) seems strange. Could it have something to do with the lack of disc golf media and resources in French, the province's official language?
How Old Are the Top Disc Golf Courses in Canada's Provinces & Territories?

Though there are some older courses in Canada, its best tend to be fairly new. This is a trend we saw in the United States, too, where over a third of states' top five courses were built within the last six years and more than 50% appeared within the last 12 years.
The oldest top five course in any of Canada's divisions is Golf Island Disc Golf Park in British Columbia, which was established nearly a half century ago in 1980. The youngest courses were built in 2023. There are four of them, with three located in Newfoundland and Labrador and the other in Quebec.
Ranking the Five Best Disc Golf Courses in Every Canadian Province & Territory
If you're curious about some of the details behind the rankings, here are the basics:
- How did you find all the courses?
As we mentioned earlier, thanks to disc golfers across the world, UDisc Courses is the most comprehensive and frequently updated disc golf course directory in existence. A course had to be in the UDisc directory to make it into this post. - Were any kinds of courses ineligible?
Courses that weren't available for play at least 120 days of the year were not included. We also didn't include any courses specifically meant for putting practice. - How did you create the rankings?
The rankings are based on a methodology that applies more weight to recent ratings and helps identify which courses with excellent but relatively few ratings are true destinations rather than just local faves. Notably, due to this methodology, some courses that have higher average ratings in the UDisc Courses directory may be ranked below courses with lower average ratings.
All courses were subject to the same metrics, and no course was moved up or down the rankings based on the preferences of UDisc staff. - Why are some courses that have lower average ratings on UDisc Courses ranked above courses with higher average ratings?

What to Know Before Reading the Rankings
- You'll find the results listed alphabetically by state name (i.e., we start at Alberta's top five disc golf courses and end with Yukon's). You can also just jump to a specific province or territory's top five from the province and territory list.
- Mobile and tablet users can swipe left/right on any table to see all columns.
- Each course's name is linked to its UDisc Courses page. There you can see photos, reviews, layout difficulty ratings, availability, and more of any course in the table (with the exception of the Northwest Territories' lone course, which had no photos at time of publication).
- The rankings in this list may differ from what appears on divisions' Disc Golf Places pages. We used slightly different calculations to create these tables than what you'll find on Disc Golf Places. Additionally, rankings on Disc Golf Places will change throughout the year as disc golfers experience and rate courses.
